🚲 The best way to cycle from King's Cross to Stockwell, traffic free

You can cycle from King's Cross in north central London to Stockwell in south London in about 35 minutes, entirely on quiet streets and protected cycled lanes.
The route is a little under 6 miles long (9.25km) and makes use of cycle tracks on Midland road, Tavistock Place, Gower Street, the Embankment, Westminster Bridge, Cycleway 5 and other backstreets.
By public transport the journey takes about half an hour.

Cycled from south London to central for years and never done this cut through Stockwell conservation area up to Oval - lovely roads and great route. Thanks for sharing.

I usually use the superhighway from Waterloo/Elephant & Castle but this looks so much nicer and less stressful!

Possibly a bit more direct I reckon as well (depending on where exactly you’re coming from) as it cuts the corner!

I was knocked off my bike by a pedestrian when I was crossing Westminster Bridge in the cycle lane the other week, and was pretty badly banged up. While I was composing myself, I saw someone else knocked over by a pedestrian just 5 minutes later. Honestly, it's a death trap at the moment. It's much safer to avoid the cycle lane and cycle on the road instead.

out of interest what Camera are you using, is it helmet mounted great vids btw. I'm nearly 50 and your videos have encouraged me to cycle more, i did 53 miles yesterday. Stoke Newington to Kingston upon Thames, i came back via Chiswick , Fulham using the Thames path, i have been through that area many times and would never have gone down that path unless on a bike.

Thank you, that’s great to hear! The camera is a GoPro Hero 8 black - the image stabilisation is great. The earliest videos on the channel were done on a cheap off brand camera and the new one was frankly worth every penny!
