I would have relocated the wiring and install with a customize bracket on the siding for nicer look, esthetically.

What voltage needs to be at the original bell wires Nd where does the sound come from ?

Any where from 10-24v for the basic ones some of the pros I’ve seen need 13-24v, and you place a ring transmitter on your old doorbell chime box inside the house to make sound, or get a ring chime and plug into wall outlet. Hopes this helps.

I won't install Ring, once I found out that law enforcement can tap into it without my knowledge or consent. I'll be doing a closed circuit system. Thank you very much.

@@lorettayoung3088 I only found out a few months ago as I was looking into ring. They're able to access the cloud and internet data of your property without your knowledge or consent. If ordered by warrant, I would comply knowing the provisions of the law in which its needed... or if it was necessary to my police report. But that privacy should be up to me, if I release it or not. It really would depend.

Do you need to drill through all of 4 screw holes there or can you just the bottom right and top right and leave the other two vacant?

All you need is 2. To hold the doorbell in place.
