The best way to research trains is to get up close and personal with them! The Ganaraska Railway Modellers invited me to shadow them on their private tour of a railroad maintenance facility in Toronto, Ontario. we were able to get up close to the rail cars in the repair shop and also try out some training simulators! It was an amazing in depth look at how the railroad operates and maintains their fleet! Now I'm inspired to take what I learned and apply it to my model train layout!
