The concern with the SWF and Valeo blade is the only thing between your windshield and a piece of steel is the rubber. I had a blade stick to the windshield tear on a highway during a rain storm, that metal destroyed the windshield, it etched the glass badly. At least with the Bosch the plastic would prevent the glass to metal contact if the rubber blade fails. That could be the reason for the more complex design, and why I will be sticking with Bosch.

I'm driving BMW for many years now - they come new with SWF blades. I tried Bosch and SWF several times on my and my wives car (at her last car I put less expensive Champion blades on before selling it). Since its raining here very often, getting dark early in winter time and the roads are quite crowded, you need good wiper blades. I replace them each year late summer. Now what I found out is that Bosch blades perform better than SWF. Champion were good new but got bad after a few weeks. After shot period of time the SWF left a water film on the screen. This was not just at my tries but also at most BMW company cars I used. Combined with the poor BMW wiper assistant, rain will have a massive impact on your vision.

I had a Valeo wiper brake off on me on the highway. It was a very fun night of limping on the side of the road to the closest gas station with occasional getting out to wipe the rain off by hand

Nice test. However there are also other criteria for a good wiper: Wiping at speed of 100km/h and above, wind noise during drive, wiper noise at each turn when getting older, time of usage until it is dangerous to use them further etc. It is not only wiping performance in a static setup after an abuse test.

Acuma aud prima data de swf. Rezultatul este foarte concludent. Am cumparat (sh) masina cu stergatoare originale pe ea si am fost foarte multumit, pacat ca nu scria cine le-a facut. Dupa, am avut bosch au tinut aproape 3/4 din an, dar pe la jumatatea perioadei lasau urme. Acum am valeo dar lasa urme de noi. O sa incerc swf, daca gasesc dimensiunea si prinderea. Am prindere cui si stergatoare de 800 mm. Bravo, asteptam si urmatoarele teste

Nice test! I tried Valeo and some other "noname" brands, but keep coming back to Bosch, the wider design helps in wiping at high speeds and they lasted me 3 years, which I found is a good result! My car sits a lot in direct sun and ice, being parked outside.

Foarte faine testele tale :) Sper sa vedem cat mai multe pe viitor. Nu ma asteptam ca Bosch-ul sa fie asa de slab, dar sincer de-aia am si renuntat la a mai da 80 de lei pe un set in loc de 30 cat dau pe unele din Auchan care isi fac treaba cu brio.

Great test Sergiu, But next time if you choose a top product from Bosch pls also choose the same from other brands ex: Valeo Silencio, because Valeo First is their entry level product same as Bosch Eco, they are probably designed to fail sooner.

Bosch Aerotwin is premium line. Valeo First is budget line. Bosch has also a budget line called "Bosch Eco". Valeo has also a premium line called "Valeo Silencio". You tested a premium Bosch wiper against a budget Valeo wiper.

I have GoodYear wipers in my Astra H. They are quite decent compared to Valeo wipers, which wear out quite quickly. It would be nice to see these wipers in some kind of comparison test, because they are not quite popular and in my opinion quite decent. One thing I find is also the length of the blade also plays a big factor, I have a Fiesta ST, they call for either 24-26" on the drivers side, I see the edges skipping/jumping, when I swapped them down to 22" it was MUCH better. but that's just my experience.

SWF wiper blades used to be the best until they were aquired by Valeo. So Valeo and SWF today is the same. Currently I run Continental wipers on my Octavia and they are good. If you want to clean the cut edge of the wiper blade, use the magic white sponges, sometimes referred as dirt rubber sponge.

I have had the best luck with Valeo 900 series blades and the First. Both blades lasted for 2 years with First lasting in the Colorado dry, hot and dusty climate. I also make it a point to clean the blades with denatured alcohol. Bosch has been pretty decent as well. SWF I have never heard of so that must be a brand that is not in the US.

Cele mai bune stergatoare sunt cele cu care vine masina din fabrica, a nu se confunda cu OEM, chiar daca teoretic sunt identice, practic (nu stiu de ce) sunt "din alt film". Celelate stergatoare dupa circa 3 saptamani de utilizare (a se intelege de ploaie) se comporta cam la fel indiferent de pretul de achizitie. Totusi un mare like pt felul in care sunt realizate testele, par cele mai profesionale de pe youtube.

After a year of using SWF on the passenger side I have to say it beats Bosch and Valeo hands down. For the driver side I installed Valeo (at the same time as SWF) which I had to switch to Bosch just after 6 months and now I'll be switching to SWF. The passenger side wiper is still as good as new. I had Continental wipers before and they were excellent too. Actually they were even too good as they collected all the water in one go and they returned on the dry. The wiper motor had some hard time as the wipers really got stuck to the glass and I was afraid it would eventually burn.

Great video. Can you make a video about testing the expensive fuel? Regular and expensive gas from two gas stations for example. Does it really improve the performance and how much gas can be saved using the expensive one?

I personally have found the bosch wipers to be the best wipers you can by in England for my car due to it has a slight compound curve in the windscreen and the other wipers get too stiff as they age and then have uneven contact pressure (this is due to the other wipers having that single steel rail rather than two which has to be thicker and therefore is more susceptible to work hardening)

Salut si felicitari pentru munca depusă, am cumparat set bosch a620 cu 42 de euro vara trecuta pana in toamna s-au uzat in februarie am achizitionat set identic tot cu 42 de euro acum sunt din nou uzate la stergere lasa dungi pe parbriz pe partea soferului exact ca setul anterior, sunt foarte dezamagit de bosch am sa incerc SWF.
