I genuinely think if the Thrashers had stable ownership, they would've stayed put. That 2007 team could've gotten even better if ownership had let them spend to build up the depth.

@1:45 Actually, the Flames first year was a big success. Their total of 65 points was the best of the post 1967 expansion teams for many years.

Both Winnipeg & Calgary are thankful from Atlanta, relocation saved these 2 franchises that once called home.

The Atlanta faithful really got screwed over by bad ownership. People think Atlanta can't support NHL hockey and that simply isn't true. The city has a lot going for it and the fact that they lost two teams is disappointing.

Don Waddell was the worst excuse for a GM ever. He passed on players early on who could have laid a good foundation for the future, and instead chose guys who stayed on the DL more than they did on the ice (they chose Damian Rhodes over Ron Hextall, and ended up playing “musical goaltenders” for three or four years).

I think the name Thrashers should be recycled in a new franchise if there is a relocation or expansion in the league, but I still think the Thrashers logo is horrible, I wanted to suggest some video themes if possible.

Cities in the southern US without sizeable populations of Canadians or people from the northern US esp the Northeast will have trouble attracting fans

Atlanta Thrashers moved to Winnipeg - a city with 5 million less people, a city paying for games in Canadian currency and the team still increased by 50% valuation over a two year span.
