"What about Critical Role?" The Big Bang Theory writers are not that niche, sadly, AND this episode came out 2 years before Critical Role started streaming online. I do always wonder, though, if they HAD incorporated Critical Role into Big Bang Theory, how would each of the characters feel about it? My theories: - Howard would be taking notes from Matthew Mercer on how to do sound effects. He would most enjoy the crude humor. - Raj would cry at the heartwarming friendship moments. - Leonard would resonate hard with all of the family drama, like with Vex and Vax and their dad. He would try to pull off a Percy cosplay for Comic Con once, but it likely wouldn't work out. - Sheldon would be one of those anal "fans" who comments on Twitch that they're doing D&D wrong, until he eventually gets banned from all fandom spaces. But he would also be impressed by Matthew Mercer and rub Howard's nose in it. He would also hate the sex jokes. - Penny would just be stunned that so many hot actors - including girl actors - play D&D. Honestly, I wonder if she would have run into some of them at auditions or events or something, especially since Will Wheaton has been on it...
