Fish can drown if the water becomes unoxygenated, such as if the oxygenator in a tank stops working or in stagnant ponds when there is no rain. They’re still technically getting water, but the dissolved oxygen is “used up” and they can no longer breathe.
@1014p
@1014p 5 жыл бұрын
Gecko oxygenator? Ok being a fish guy I’ve got to correct this. First off oxygen in the water occurs via surface agitation. Sort of like the rain part, except everything would die relying on rain. Now I believe you meant current generation or circulation devices to agitate the waters surface. Caveat is an air line into a power head can mix in minor air under surface. So pumps, air stones, hand on back filters (water fall basically), and in sump system wet/dry set up. So how can aqua man die under water. Valid point as noted is the oxygen dissipates away to unsafe levels. Alternatively he exerts more energy depleting his ability to acquire more oxygen to blood stream. Deeper you go the less likely to have oxygen available. Although we are finding gas pockets near heat that impressively adds oxygen to water region.

Wait, hold up. About The Matrix, Neo can absorb kinetic energy. So, this ability would allow him to catch Trinity at ANY speed without hurting her. Proof... In the first Matrix movie, Neo slows down and eventually stops the agent's bullets near the end of the film, and in The Matrix Reloaded, Neo rather quickly stops the bullets fired at him by the Merovingian's henchmen. The bullets actually stop in mid air, and robbed of all their kinetic energy, fall harmlessly to the ground. There is no reason he couldn't do this with a falling person.

@Dustquake
@Dustquake 5 жыл бұрын
I agree. Neo has enough control over the Matrix's environment that he could do some real word physics defying manipulation to null the argument. Same with Morpheus and the Keymaster (was he called the Keymaster?) In the semi collision. However, there was no visual cues to indicate he did so. Like the ground deformation when he jumps into flight, showing his manipulation of the virtual physics. Trinity didn't accelerate horizontally before impact, he doesn't slow down, and his body doesn't warp to absorb the impact. Also since he just manipulates the existing physics, I don't think enough surface area contact was made to absorb the energy of the impact at that speed to not at least rip her into a couple pieces. Of course that is all code level modifications, which they can't show, but I dont recall there being any on screen indications he did any alterations at impact. Taking that, while not knowing exactly where his modding limits lie, and knowing that he doesn't have God power, just mod power; I'd have to go with Trinity dies.

Hi Kyle! Love the show. So about the deceleration part of your footnotes, I wss reminded of the HANS device and the cockpit of a Formula 1 car... and the head on crashes into barriers like one Max Verstappen had at the Monaco GP a few years ago. The harness they are strapped into are extremely tight to their bodies, and the HANS device strapped to theor helmets aid in preventing a LOT of the G forces of a head on crash with a barrier. Obviously a LOT of the energy dissipation comes from the carbon fibre bodywork and the tyre walls around circuits. Even with the energy dissipation, there is still a number great of Gs from at 150+ mph crash like these and HANS device and cockpit harness goes about safely keeping the momentum of the driver in check in a very short distance.

Not just the strain of having to control their actions all the time, but how it effects their mental state. Why cant i like on videos more than once, this episode deserves it... Also wouldn't Superman need to perfectly time moment of impact and instantly start slow deceleration to catch Lois Lane ? If he messed it up even for an instant wouldn't she just crash into his arms and after that he would start decelerating still causing harm to her? Our brains do have latency right?

So as I understand Kyle has been adopted by Elon Musk. And elon has been inducting Kyle into the fold of villainy. I think solely for the purpose of controlling his Legions of venomous bats.

@Soup on a stickWait, so you have watched every episode of all twelve seasons of The Big Bang Theory, despite your professed dislike of it? I suppose that it could be the case that you have actually been forced to watch the show by some nefarious being. This would make sense as to why you think that the show was forced onto people rather than there existing an extremely large number of people that actually enjoyed the show.

You need to do a video discussing how fast Spiderman's webs would have to travel to be able to reach some of the things he swings from. Also how much web he would have to use/produce to do that?

Hey Kyle, love your content. I've been a follower for a few years now. So thank you for all your hard work. I just have a comment on all the comments and answers about the impact superheros makes on people and things when saving them. The one thing I seem to notice about almost all of the remarks. Is no one seems to take into account the human bodies ability to absorb shock and impact. It seems in every example the heroes are concrete statues. Lol. Like the comment about Shazam and the bus. Granted it would be difficult seeing how he placed his hands on the glass instead of the grill. But he very well could of absorbed a lot of the impact force through his elbows and knees. Mostly because it was falling slowly and only by its weight and not accelerated from an outside force. I also disagree with the Superman(Reeve) & Lois scene. In that scene it's almost as if he matched her speed before grabbing her. Which combined with the bodies ability to disperse impact energy wouldn't be harmful at all. Unlike the Matrix scene with Trin being caught. That would RIP you to shreds regardless of how much you tried to absorb the impact. I just wanted to add my 2 cents. Thank you again Kyle for all your content. One of the best channels on You Tube.

Hey Kyle, I think we'd love to hear a bit more about your satelite array. Given the arpoximate 45 minute wait time (plus or minus time to aquire target) i'm going to guess that to achieve a consistant time range you definitely have more than one (given the approximate orbit time of the ISS in low earth orbit is purportedly 90 minutes as said by the internet) but also i presume thay same time is likely indicative of the fact that you may have less satelites in orbit than the projected number for elon musk's starlink project. so how many do you have and what is the minimun number of attack satelited required to deliver such concise and loving service?

Hi Kayle i very like your channel and i have a question. If there would be a superhero with ability to control his weight without limits what effect this could have on him, environment and phisics over all like density of his body and what if increasing his weight wont affect his ability to move. I hope for answer bcs its on my mind some time already and sorry for my mistakes.

So... I can't quote chapter and verse, but I'm very sure that in the comics that it was established that Superman used his super breath to cushion the impact when he intercepted and caught a falling human. And may I say that I enjoy the effort and challenge of your videos. Keep up the good work!

Kyle, can you do a video on what it would take to jump from a high place (airplane, cliff, bridge etc) with a wingsuit and land safely without a chute. I know people have done this by landing in boxes or on a net but I'm talking about more of a normal landing. Could you fly low and flare into a stall at a low height? Could it happen some other way?

As I recall, some old Superman comic from the 50s or 60s explained that he has limited powers of telekinesis, but he has to touch an object to use it, so he catches a plane by grabbing it, but his grasp is affecting the entire fuselage at once.

Hey Kyle, if I learned anything from your videos is that one of the difficulties of sending rockets out of the Earth's gravitational field is that the weight of the fuel itself holds the rocket down. How would travel technology(space or otherwise) be affected if the fuel were stored in a pocket-dimension and only let out at the same rate the fuel is consumed? I'm not talking Bag of Holding kind of thing, where the stuff inside 'only' weighs a fraction of its original weight, but a Naruto Sealing Scroll kind of thing, where the only weight is the weight of the scroll itself, in other words, a flat weight independent of what is inside.
