The challenge is that we say we are a democratic nation but faithfully implementing the colonial legislation. How do we begin to think that our democracy would work. The only thing that change is that black people came into power. Other than that, everything remained the same. Hence, the inequalities, divides, poverty, and unemployment have remained the same if not worsened. The RDP failed mainly because the foundation, Legislation, remained unchanged, which doesn't support the RDP vision 😢

The issue of inequality is across the board. Check out the NDP 10 Year Review. It is quite disheartening, the status quo remains the same.The approach in fixing these inequalities must be holistic.
