Look how blatantly the advisor to PM is avoiding the pinpointed questions. These guys don't have any answers other than blaming UPA for everything. A lost cause entirely on the Economic Front.

Chidambaram and manmohan singh is to blame for the current crisis they left the banking system in a pathetic state. The loan were given to corporate without due diligence where these guys and bankers got commissions on their loans which all became the NPA so now banks don't have the money to give fresh loans. All infra real estate companies and their ancillaries don't have capital neither they are getting the loans. So there is big slow down in these sectors. There is global economic slowdown also. Auto sector will see revival after BS 6 and good monsoon will show growth in rural demand. The companies are also not doing their capex and last year was a election year govt capex was also low. Rules like Indian bankruptcy code and NCLT are helping banks to recover their loans back. they will take some time. FDI has picked up and their needs to be pickup in the sentiments for investment from pvt side where govt has done all it can do by reducing corporate taxes and all.

Modi sarkar ensured that the visit doesn't look like an official state to state visit but an invitation from a private ( still unknown) firm. The firm hence, has gained complete control of which, where, who, and when of this visit. if this were state to state meet, leaders of opposition will have to be invited as per protocol. GoI is a player but it's pulling the strings from background. Modi is too shaana to let anything of masala slip outta his hands. Use bs Modi+Trump dikhana hai, chahe kuch bhi krna pde.

We had a very decent, intellectual, professorial, visionary and exemplary patriotic PM Dr Singh. Look at what Dr Reddy said that Dr Singh invited all these economic advisors back from US in a very decent way have them space to work. That's leadership is all about and iam a big admirer of him. He is one of my role model. Dr Singh you are decent human being and we were fortunate to have you. Dr Singh was primarily responsible for bringing economics into public domain and making us question every move of the Govt.

UPA2 left in 2014 April , with a rising curve of economy! Economy(GDP/inflation/Deficit) of a country does not just change in a month or two. Once a government takes actions , then results are seen after a year! In Modi government the rising curve which was given by UPA2 continued till December-2016. Modi and his joker ministers did nothing for that! The crude price fell suddenly in 2014 when Modi came in! Pure luck which led to decrease in deficit and also increase in tax revenue! Even with all these Modi was absolutely clueless. His first major decision was Demonetization and a flawed GST in 2016-17! From then on economy has been going down post those moves. Like Gujarat lie of Modi the India story is also a big PR exercise. Gujarat was already an industrial state before Modi. He did not do shot except for 2002 riots! 2002 is his legacy and nothing else.

Pranab Mukherjee played the role of 'The Enemy Within' PERFECTLY by passing the highly UNNECESSARY '3rd stimulus package ! He did it out of spite ! Bcos he KNEW that he was going to be removed from the finance ministry for poor performance and WANTED to inflict max Economic damage on his way OUT in the form of that 3rd stimulus package and retrospective taxation policy !

@@CaughtOffiside Tax cut are given to revive capex of the private sector and to increase profits so that they don't feel the pressure of the slowdown and to increase jobs and to increase investment in india. they were given by PC only in the upa regime go check the balance sheets of the companies where they are now and what has happened to them and what has happened to PSU banks because of these loans. Now banks can desolve assets and recover loans or sell the assets in NCLT to improve their balance sheets. Real estate and infrastructure are major source of the employment for unskilled labour in india.
