I can't believe that the plaintiff was carrying on about how he buys everything for his wife.... Yet his wife works full time. So, NO mate. You don't provide for your wife in every way, she's bringing a salary in too. I think he's jealous of the other couple. I hope his wife is okay after this as I'm guessing that he'll blame her for losing the case. She's got the patience of Job.

The plaintiff does sound like a “nasty old man”, as he belittles the plaintiff for “living in his wife’s house.” “You’ve got a fleet and you filed the case as indigent?” That really speaks to the lack of veracity and ethics. I wouldn’t have given them anything.

Plaintiff Husband makes a huge deal about how well he provides for his wife, yet she cried in gratitude when she was offered a room in someone else's house. He either lied to the court about being indigent or is lying to everyone else about what a great provider he is. I suspect it's the latter. He is a horrible piece of work. I don't know how she can stand him. Yuck.

I want to know who that was lurking in the plaintiffs' background. It distracted me, because no one mentioned anyone else, and with that old S.O.B. in the house, I can't completely dismiss the possibility that it was a hostage of some kind. I don't know if she feels stuck, is defeated and lost herself due to probable abuse, or is just better at being nice nasty than her high-siding, ungrateful, controlling, and generally disrespectful husband, but, I feel bad for her. I can tell she really did appreciate Mrs. Solomon, and I wouldn't put it past the plaintiff's husband to deliberately burn down her friendship with a woman who would probably take her in if she decided to leave him.
