THE BIG JIMNY BUILD

Here it all comes together. The big Jimny build was a lot of fun, but it took a long time and a more money to complete the job. Bought it brand spanking new and drove it a few hundred kilometers before the big transformation. The main goal in this project was to build the perfect 4X4 vehicle. It was to be lightweight but strong and had be able to withstand the worst imaginable weather situations like snowstorms and other Icelandic rough terraine circumstances. On the other hand it was made to be a daily driver getting back and forth from work. So far it has proven all that👍😎 Will post more detailed videos from certain parts of the build later on.👌 Enjoy

A lot more work has gone into that than first meets the eye. Fantastic build and yet still looks factory finish in a not over the top kind of way. Looking forward to more videos.

was always fascinated by the Icelandic deflation inflation system ever since i saw it almost 20 years ago. i have never seen anywhere else only in Iceland. cool rig! thanks for sharing

I was vibing watching this, until I saw that litre of liquid gasket used on the rear diff; that killed my vibe. Doesn't change the fact that this is an awesome build though!

auxilliary fuel tank, interesting customization.. fuel autonomy is one of the best modifications; to give a range of >1000km, so mine is an 80 litre long range tank from TheLongRanger in Australia, which was just made available for the JB74 a few weeks ago via ARB network. the balance for me, is to maintain the GVM and modify essentials with JB74 specific equipment only, enabling independence on all terrains and conditions.

Looks like a lot of additional unsprung weight in those tyres, it's hard to fight against physics.

How so? In the deep snow he is building for straight up tire size rules. His setup has no real extra or unneeded weight. Even the ko2’s he chose aren’t that heavy compared to a lot of 35’s. Fairly common easy to get so it likes like a great choice to me.

Бред какой-то сделали . На таких колесах радную раздатку будут менять раз в год цепи там хана будет. На таком влете все подшипники будут вылетать на раз два . Мосты погунтся очень быстро . Оставили полные клюшки ? Тормоза да их там не будет с таким размером колес
