Inspired by the Love of Jesus Christ
Verse of the Day (as related to the topic of this video):
"Love endures with patience and serenity, love is kind and thoughtful, and is not jealous or envious; love does not brag and is not proud or arrogant." - 1 Corinthians 13:4 (AMP)
A movie I highly recommend: The Gospel According to Matthew (starring a very animated and engaging acting performance by Bruce Marchiano, who plays Jesus). This is a word-for-word adaptation that has a unique take on the body language and charisma of Jesus, and also makes it easier to understand and quicker to read the story. I am hopeful that this movie gives you peace, love, hope, security, comfort, and answers, as it did me, and continues to do to this day. God bless you.

I don't believe in acting beta or alpha. I believe in being yourself. Now after that. There are definitely some dudes that are better at being genuine and others that are not. Which in turn leads to this alpha and beta category. Some guys try incredible too hard at impressing a girl. Be it money or constant compliments or gifts. Which 99% of girls detest after a short period.

Word about that last part. Extravagant gifts and gestures n shit really stress me out and make me feel guilty for taking their time/money and afraid of their reaction when I don't respond the way they want me to. Hilariously enough, I'm making a small fun animation right now about that topic in specific that'll be posted on the 19th or the 20th for an animation contest. :')

Self-love really is powerful. It's the perfect band-aid towards the hollowness we feel when we realize life won't go like it does in fairy tales and films, and will not in the future. I bet that most of you like me wished that you knew self-love (if you don't then drop everything and search it, it's gonna be priceless) much earlier because that could have saved you a lot of trouble. Like "Why did I ever become so hungry and seek validation from that person/that kind of person" or "If I knew thid much earlier, I could have tried really connecting instead of choosing to put them on a pedestal rather than see them as only a flawed person like myself". Regret is a funny thing. You probably won't ever forget it even if you want to, but you'll always treasure the lessons and experiences you took away from it once you mature enough to realize.

No. I always found "love" to be such a stupid concept which so many pursue because they are afraid to be alone. I for one always embrace being by myself as well as accept myself despite me not liking some aspects like being really skinny cuz metabolism. Not saying being in a relationship is a waste of time but if its all youre trying to do just to get laid/avoid loneliness, you got another thing coming. Tho recently ive been struggling with my sense of self. Idk why but i digress

Which is why its way less toxic to call this shit a crush. putting the burden on a person of making it into an insult is just stupid and its why the term simp as far as I'm concerned is stupid. Its just a word for cooties at this point, that people think is more mature when it really isn't.
@acedupspade
@acedupspade 3 жыл бұрын
@@hwanniggles187 i agree. love isnt this end all be all that fixes all your problems. The opposite actually, where you carry all your issues into it. And by everything i mean EVERYTHING. Yourself is your biggest investment in any, whether love, friendship, or family. And lets compare relationship status to a upwards stairs; being single isnt downwards, and isnt upwards - - its in the middle. Simply put, it isnt bad, it isnt good, it just is. Whether you choose to depend on another or just explore your passions and enjoy your freedom, the choice is solely yours.
@acedupspade
@acedupspade 3 жыл бұрын
@@chaosdirge4906 simp is more of a generalizing insult that is commonly used to diminish others to feel superior. Using it can also have the hidden meaning of the person saying it seem better than say a "simp" or a "beta" because they themselves called out others - obviously not true, as it is a sign of rudeness for the most part. On the other hand, there can be times when it is used in a well-meaning and understanding way, which I think is soo much better. BUT the word is still at its base derogatory so I think for example this would be better: two guys who are very close best friend, where the first one is chasing and putting this toxic crush on a pedestal, and the second one says "You know man, you shouldnt make yourself like her servant (replacement for simp), a relationship is a two way street, a team, and a give and take cooperative relationship. Im worred for you". Isn't that a whole lot better? Helping, in a non-controlling and righteous fashion, is supporting a person who are flawed just like us. Nevermind the word simp - that shit can be hurtful. Thats why i havent called anyone that (with the only possibility being an obvious joke with close friends)

And that's normal. We are humans and humans are social animals. We can't help but experience concern for other people and what they think of us. In another time and place, we needed intimate connections to survive but not anymore. You may find someone very pleasant to be around and want to spend more time with them (or what you percieve as "them") but you don't NEED them (specifically) to find meaning in your life. The saddest thing about Mordecai in particular is that when he dials it back a bit, he can be actually pretty charming and genuine. It’s shown when he first meets CJ. He becomes so relaxed around her he just starts acting organic, and that is what draws her to him. As Jake The Dog once said, “You’re getting hung up on imaginary problems. You gotta focus on what’s real.” That’s Mordecai. Too in his own head to just let the moment flow and be himself.

The vast majority of people don't love each other in any meaningful sense. Most of the people you see who seem to love each other now will have nothing to do with each other in a few years (often, their time together will be shorter). There's likely nothing awful about you; most people go into relationships on a whim, trying to see how much they can squeeze out of the other, and try to strategically be the first one to discard the other. Most aren't looking at you to determine your quality as a person -- they don't even care about that. By all means, put yourself out there, but be patient and wait for someone who will look at you for your genuine qualities, and improve yourself in the meantime.

It can be a thousand other things. Age ranges affect it in various ways, the location you live in, your own tastes, the people you happen to have met by chance and what their lives are currently like, and a hundred other things can be the cause. It doesn't have to be some fault in yourself that prevents others from romantically loving you, in fact it likely isn't. It's probably a combination of small, more trivial matters. But take care and look inwards. Because there might be something that prevents you from loving _yourself._ Best of luck, friend.

Relationships should be a positive addition to your life, not the center of your existence. If you can't operate alone, then you seriously need to find some real purpose for your life and make some meaningful goals for yourself. Chasing after a partner or even getting in a relationship isn't going to fix the emptiness caused by a lack of self purpose.

When I was in high school I tried making moves on girls I liked but often turned out unsuccessful. I was disappointed sure, but I wasn’t too bothered because normally I’d often be hanging out with my friends and laughing our heads off together every day, and we were all single guys. We liked girls but dating wasn't much of a priority for any of us. The high school I went to was pretty small so prom date pickings were slim for me. For my Junior year I tried asking out a few girls, got rejected, and didn’t sweat not going. My Senior year I tried getting a date, failed multiple times, but decided to go anyway on my own for the sake of it. My Senior prom was one of the worst wastes of time and money I’ve ever spent in my life thus far. Everyone there was a pompous asshole and it was waaay too expensive for the prison-style cafeteria food they gave us for our dinners. A year later after I had graduated high school I went to college and surprisingly pickings were still slim for me. I couldn’t pick out any girls I wanted to go out with and the few that were attractive, had something about their character I didn’t want to date them. I met a girl in my first year of college who was mildly attractive but we were better off as friends. I didn’t worry about trying to be perfectly presentable for her, I was more laid back and I knew she wasn’t future wife material. I think she grew to like me as more-than-a-friend though because sometimes we’d walk together to our next class and she’d get real close to me. She’d smile and rest her head on my shoulder as we walked, and she’d rub up against me almost like a cat when a cat likes a person. She didn't normally wear that much makeup however one time she came to class wearing extra makeup and a blouse that was quite nice. I saw her smiling at me a few times which I didn't think much about at the time. I later complimented her on how she looked after class because she looked nice and that put a big grin on her face. Throughout college and my summers however I tried online dating for the first time. Online dating was the last place I wanted to look but given my options it was the only valid one I had. I’d look through who was available and get increasingly more pissed off about the types of girls I’d see on the market. It was like every girl I saw was a thot in search up a hookup, a gold digger, some disgusting weirdo, or simply someone I just wasn’t attracted too. I eventually reached that conclusion that you touched up on in your video as well. Instead of racking my brain trying to find somebody who wasn’t there, just forget dating for the time being. Don’t hold your breath, work on yourself until a day comes when you do meet someone. I figure by then I’ll be more desirable and put together for them. Currently I’m still single but from that point to now I’ve greatly improved at socializing with girls. It doesn’t have to be romantic, just learn how to socialize with the opposite sex better and figure out what personalities gel with your own. While girls do appreciate certain qualities in a guy, confidence I think being one of them, there isn't an exact copy & paste formula you need to follow to be successful in getting a girlfriend. Be yourself, improve who you already are where needed, and know who you match with when you meet them.

Just wanted to say that "just be yourself' can be VERY bad advice if someone is either not neurotypical, not succeeding in life in the typical way or is a genuinely shitty person in some major capacity. "Just be yourself" really just means "choose one of these preset socially accepted archetypes and stick to the associated behavioural patterns". What if you naturally say really awakward and weird things because you can't read subtext or body language? Society is extremely restrictive when it comes to how you should move and talk and dress and groom, but many people don't realize this because they learn to adapt these behaviours intuitively.

This is the first advice that feels real for teenagers. Man, I love this. I’ve been faking my personality for two years now to “network” with people, but in the process I lost who I am. I feel like a dead man simply living, I prayed to God to help me when I was on the floor in pain from temptation. I felt angered, sad, and frustrated. It felt like I was being punished for trying to do the right thing, yet the temptations grow worse and worse.. but then God showed me this channel. What a lot of guys don't understand is that they see girls as some sort of creatures or something when in reality they are just humans with emotions. I'm 19 years old, and what guys need to understand is that instead of worrying about getting a gf, they tend to forget to ask themselves if their happy with how they are currently in life if not why not change it focus on the things their not happy with and make a change instead of focusing all of their life and time on another human being that they think is gonna make them happy but in reality is getting a gf is like adding a song to your playlist, nobody is gonna make you happy if you're not happy with yourself. focus on yourself, and eventually, the time will come when you're ready

The word "simp" gets thrown around casually these days. The true simps are the ones who cant differentiate simping from giving out compliments, or really being happy for somebody. My only problem with what was said is that you don't have to be 100% accepting of yourself before you seek out a relationship. I don't think anyone is 100% okay with themselves. Yes, your own health and acceptance comes first but you will never achieve perfection so don't let that rule when you choose to start a relationship. You'll never be entirely ready. Okay here's my prediction on what this video is going to say: " When it comes to love, things will not always work out the way you want it to. Sometimes love can be messy, brutal and you will end up hurting yourself as well as others. Mordecai is a prime example of that. He's young like all of us and he has high expectations as we all do. What's important is that we do not beat ourselves up about it and learn from our mistakes, unlike Mordecai who keeps repeating mistakes until when he matured later in the series and eventually got married."

The most beautiful and realistic thing about the ending is that Mordecai's desperate search for love didn't work. Married here. From my own experience, totally agree on the importance of loving yourself first. If you can't love yourself first, how can you expect someone else to love you genuinely as well? My wife and I had to literally go to the opposite sides of the planet to meet each other, but hey, we found each other eventually. Don't get caught up so much in teen romances or super idealistic relationships. Go on dates, make friends, and find someone who really likes you for you. Changing yourself for the better is a good thing and can improve relationships, but changing yourself not because you want to and just to impress or "keep" a relationship you are afraid of losing is closer to "simping" in my opinion.

Being yourself works really well when your defining traits are charismatic, funny, and confident. Bonus points if you care less about a potential relationship than the other party. But if you're one of the unfortunate people that don't share these traits, have no fear, because there's a lot of people out there. All you have to do is just take a few months off from your life to scour the world, looking for someone who mistakes your awkwardness for charm, who is culturally compatible, who is within your age range, who speaks your language, figure out who will move where, and who cares about you more than you do for them so that they don't get in the way of your self love. It should be easy, I mean after all, if you have a lifestyle where meeting those 7 billion people in the world is an option rather than just sticking to your town, finding people that want to be around you shouldn't be too hard. Man, giving relationship advice is easy when I only suggest what sounds pleasant and lack the ability to empathize.

Actually, simp, as far as I've used it, refers to someone who spends a lot of their time, and money, running to the defense of random women. It's like a white knight taken to the extreme. For instance, many people consider guys who throw their money at Twtich Thots to be simps because the content usually isn't good. These guys are essentially just throwing their money at these women because they look beautiful. These guys will also, usually, break their backs trying to defend these women, no matter what they do. Beta is more of a term used to define someone who doesn't fit the typical archetype of masculinity. I'm fairly certain I would be considered a beta simply because I don't do relationships, but that doesn't make me a simp.

Having a crush isn't a bad thing. I do remember when I was in elementary where I used to have a crush on a high school girl older than I am. Since I was that young, I may emotionally heartbroken when someone else was on her side and became envy about it. Fast forward back in 2019, I saw her for the last time, and had a friend on her side. So I was shy to ask until she found me. After she left the school, I decided to let her go and moved on because she has a different path. I have more important things to do than getting a relationship.

It's so weird that this video got recommended to me in a period of confusion for me since I coincidentally went on a date with a girl a few days ago (and I don't do this very often, in fact I haven't been on a date for two years since I broke up with my last ex) and it was amazing, we both had fun and even made out, but she just vanished from my life afterwards, stopped replying to my messages and became colder and colder. This video at least gave me some hope so I can learn to focus on myself while she doesn't come back (if she'll ever do that) and just go with the flow, but I'm still very worried I did something wrong and didn't even realize.
@matheuss886

Update: She just apologized via text for the time taken and explained the situation to me. She said she's still longing for her ex and still cares a lot about him, and is not ready to move on with me for at least a while. She also told me not to create expectations in vain since it could go south. I really hope this means she could be open to something with me in the future, but I don't know what to do. I feel sad about the news but also very happy about her honesty, and thanked her for that, but I don't know what to do now.

@@matheuss886 Sounds like it's time you set a firm boundary. Don't date her till she says she's ready. Along the way she might choose to work through her past with you. @matheuss886 3 жыл бұрын
@@Robloxman226 I completely agree with you. We have decided to stay in the "friends with benefits" zone for now but I'm not sure if that's the right decision because, as you said, she could use this as a pretext only to forget about her ex and not because the way she feels about me. At the same time it's the beginning of something so it's supposed to be fun, and more serious conversations such as this aren't very common to build something natural imo. We haven't been in contact for a couple days now but it's mainly because of her work (she's really busy with tons of responsibilities this month). I think I'll let go for a while. If she feels ready to contact me again, I'll let her do it this time. It's also very possible we go out again next month (albeit for mostly shallow stuff and not much of that "romantic" connection for now, but who knows she might develop something in the future) so I'll just stick with that possibility and go forward without thinking too much about it. It's the way I found to carry on calmly, without knowing what might happen in the future, but I'm also afraid of ending up being the "Plan B" as you mentioned.
