The Lodge Card Club is a members-only social club in Round Rock, Texas (just north of Austin). With 24/7 cash games and 2+ tournaments per day, The Lodge is THE place to play poker in central Texas. The Lodge Live is streamed every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday at 3PM CT.
You never know what you might see on The Lodge Live stream. You might see Pocket Aces vs Pocket Kings. You may see the nut straight lose to a full house after the board pairs on the river. There's a good chance you will see loads of straddles (and double straddles, and triple straddles). Players go all-in blind or play poker hands after looking at just one card. That's just what poker is like in Texas!
The stream regularly features Lodge owners Brad Owen, Andrew Neeme, and Doug Polk. Players like Rampage, Mariano, and Igor Kurganov has also graced The Lodge Live felt. And who knows? Doug re-raises every hand preflop, and raises again when he gets re-raised even if it takes his whole stack. And he keeps getting his ass handed to him. I don't know when he came up with this brilliant strategy but I would probably rethink it at this point if I were him.

yeah alex has really impressed me. he's the best player at any table he sits at in my opinion. his reading skills are incredible. that hand he played against doug when he had Q3 vs 10's is a good example showing how good alex really is.

The dealers don't keep the tips per se, they go into a common fund and get split among all employees working there.

tbh like im not a doug fan or hater but he really needs to adjust his a4ss a5ss range against players like alex who will not only give action with the bottom of their range but always the top, so actually in theory especially out of pos you should just be calling to a 3 bet because 99% of the time alex isnt folding and ur going to be playing a larger pot out of POS against a sticky good player.

Doug doesn't realize it seems that ranges for HU games are completely different than full ring. He's always taking these really good spots with hands in HU and taking it to the house and always getting smoked. I saw this knowing this man is WAY richer and live a life I'm not familiar with but being objective it seems that way. I play $1/$2 baby!

Alex is tough, but the badziakowski's, and Loeligers of the world would beat him really bad. Alex is a slightly less good Garrett. Still damn tough and very good, but he is not great. He'd get schooled by the true greats. Think Robl. Robl is without a doubt better. Doug is quite a bit better. Alex is a very tough player who is not afraid to get it in that's for sure.
