I head off to the 2023 Copdock Motorcycle Show in England. This is an annual charity motorcycle event in Ipswich, England, bringing together a colossal amount of different motorcycles from all over the country.
I believe it's one of the biggest motorcycle events in Europe!
The Bikes: Honda Valkyrie, CCM, Harley Davidsons, Royal Enfield Classic 500, Triumph Speedmaster

Morning Freddie, you can do that coin trick with a pre unit RE Bullet 500, as long as someone stands 20 feet away to catch it. Smoothness is over rated, they’ll all be smooth when all you can by new is electric and we’ll all miss the sounds and vibration of petrol engines.
@KimmoJaskari
@KimmoJaskari 11 ай бұрын
The smoothness is just something the Valkyrie bikes got in the bargain, really. The 6-cylinder flat six was built for the Gold Wing, where smoothness was very much a goal. I ride a big triple, and triple designs by the nature of the beast shake like crazy. But, Triumph has tamed that pretty well with balancers etc... I don't mind a little vibration either in a cruiser, as long as it doesn't get really bad and fatiguing.

I have a ‘97 Honda Valkyrie (actually it’s an F6C) in Europe. Many bikes have come and gone in my garage through the years but my F6C is the only bike I’ve never wanted to part with, she’s nearly 27 years old and is a fabulously built machine, Honda engineering is bullet proof.

Speaking from an American Valkyrie owner, I can only imagine the guys were salty because we never got a good looking Valkyrie with the 1800 engine. (Yes, I'm aware the "newer" Valkyrie and Rune exist. I said what I said.) Super, super cool. The two big ones near me are the Barber vintage festival in Birmingham Alabama, and Mid Ohio Vintage Days at the Mid Ohio racetrack in (you guessed it) Ohio. Barber is amazing, coupled with the best motorcycle museum I've ever seen, and I'd like to go again next year. Mid-Ohio I go to every year, and the place is like Woodstock- pit bikes as far as the eye can see, and almost NO rules.

I love that the sportbike aesthetic is less of the scene there now. Back in the day it was ALL YOU SAW in the UK, you were ahead of the USA on the sports bike front. You’ve been faster to move back into a more fashion first aesthetic as well, and I much prefer a hybrid approach than I do the track look on the road.

Freddie you should do a piece on the changes in the biker scene here in the UK. Something on the scale of thus event brings in all kinds of riders, but at meets and out and about we don't seem to seem as many oily jeans and old jacket bikers about.. it fascinates me why these things change. Is it because modern bikes don't need to same kind of home maintenance? Or is because the biker weekend rallies have faded a bit? Down south there often used to be weekend events, often organised by it tied to a patch club with bands and all that good stuff, but you only seem to see them up North now.. Anyhoo, It's wonderful to see events still happening on this kind of scale. We have lots going on around us like this, but nothing quite as colossal!

Sadly Lithuania fell off a cliff and were shocking in all their remaining games. :-/ I popped to Uk on Wednesday/Thursday for my daughters graduation, and luckily my trip was Newbury, Cheltenham and Oxford three lovely English towns. I always said if Uk had decent weather there wouldn't be 50 m people living there there'd be 500m people. Well whilst it's well on the way to 500m the weather can't be relied on so as I'm back end of September for a few days so it'll be winter gear by then. And therein lies the rub.

You are unlucky to be so close to Copdock because it’s an even better day out if you have a decent ride out ! If you didn’t watch the Wall of Death or have never seen one you should do so the next chance you get. After visiting several bike shows and not bothering I finally went inside and the Wall of Death is visceral !

This is good. Love these types of videos full of interesting stuff. I think every man and his god do bike reviews and they can be boring.. you have found a good way of doing videos and my wife and I love it..

Ohh Freddie & Monika, another incredible journey & adventure in to a massive motorcycle spectacular! Fantastic that Lithuania won the BB game! I could hear Monika’s enthusiasm & excitement at the win👌 Is this event on every year & did you happen to bump into other YT content creators?🤔 Fantastic 🤙 I really need to know your final thoughts on the Classic 350🙏

Great video 😀,was it a head gasket you needed for your bonnie? If so there's one on EB being sold by bikeaholics UK in Northamptonshire, it's for the 865 engine 2008-2016 if that's your model, only one available 😀

It’s actually a flat six. It’s an insane piece of engineering. The engine doesn’t move one mm even when it fires up😳👌🏻

Great video! What is the name of the bike gathering? Half the time it sounded like cocked up bike show and the other half it sounded like cop dog. Whatever it is called, thanks for sharing. And as an American I may st say congratulations to Lithuania! I’m glad Monika enjoyed it.
