@@Arizona_Vineyard The Bikeriders premiered as the opening film of the 50th Telluride Film Festival on August 31, 2023.[1][2] It was originally scheduled to be theatrically released on December 1, 2023, by 20th Century Studios, but it was taken off the release schedule due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, which prevented the cast from promoting the film.[13][14] Following this, on November 20 that year, it was reported New Regency was shopping the film to rival studios and streamers for release instead and only two days later Focus Features acquired global distribution rights to the film, with its parent Universal Pictures distributing internationally.[15][16] On December 8, it was announced that the film had been scheduled for a theatrical release in the United States on June 21, 2024.[17]

If it has Hardy in it I’m sold. I sent this to a buddy of mine who is into motorcycles and the outlaw life who isn’t even a movie guy and sent me back the actual book and photos from it and it looks pretty spot on. He said this has a chance to be excellent.

Saw this movie at the Austin film festival. It's fantastic. Writer/director Jeff Nichols spoke about taking great care in doing this movie justice. He's been thinking about it or working on it in some form or fashion for over 20 years and said it meant a lot to him. Go see it!

This is based on the photo book and novel "The Bikeriders" by Danny Lyon. Amazing book about the formation of the Outlaws biker gang, which still exists today and is the rival to the Hell's Angels.

No they did not rival the Angel's hahaha I used to live a few blocks from them in the East Village NYC the Angles block.East 3rd street I did some baby sitting as a kid the mom was part of the PTA in her little kids school Best cutest most well behaved kids But no way did the Outlaws come near the Angel's who have chapters world wide You read junk written by ill informed lousy writers who dont get fact checked what they write

I read the book when I was a teenager my local library had it. I cant believe they actually made it into a movie...the name of the club in the movie was changed. You can figure out what club its about by the location. There was only one club in chicago in the 60s.......

@@95rossc Difficult to say, it's hard to think of a plot but some ideas could be a roadtrip type film (like a Wild Hogs comedy before the biker gang part, or serious); or a drama around custom bike building intertwined with rallies/shows/events; basically referencing things that non-1%ers do with bikes. There's a movie called Will & Me which is a bit like Thelma & Lousie meets Easy Rider....it's an interesting idea but a bit clumsily done

saw this trailer last week with Napoleon in 70 Imax, it will be fab, It will be investing to see Hollywood tackle beatniks as Bell Book and Candle a great fun film with Kim Novak is about the only one and of course James Dean. I have memories of everyone but my parents smoking cigarettes, even doctors! and I am glad to see the actor that played Elvis in this he can do the pompadour hairdo and not all young men even in the 1950's could it was very envied if a man had a good pompadour! Also jeans became the "uniform" somewhere midway, called dungarees they were not tight and they were rolled at the cuff. Cheers! i understand this is the beginning of the motorcycle gang and a true script. Keep in mind bikes were earlier my dad and mom rode in the 1930's and knew the Davison family.
