This was a sad scene really as Reg had to arrest his best friend. They were great as a team.

Des took the law into his own hands but - before his throwing the petrol bomb that caused the sun hill fire and the deaths of those officers - he really did know how to help victims of crime.

I never in million years would've thought reg actually hurt another human being. He did everything by the book until now.

In one episode he mentioned he used to throw chairs at his bullies in school.

You're right, that's what I thought when I heard that bit. But I think the reason Reg arrested Des on "suspicion of murder" was because Des hadn't officially confirmed that the explosion and fire were accidental.

He does tell all in another episode. Des tell all to reg when des stops a kid from jumping of a roof. Reg seem to forgive him and tell des he has to live with it. Not sure why reg ends up getting angry like he didnt know

@@melissaandrew8268think because des crashed into the warehouse and it went up in flames and nearly left reg to die and went on the run. Reg probably had enough by this point. Reg was lucky to keep his job in a way .

Just think Des Taviner in Hank Voights team . He wouldn't last long Voight would killed a long time ago.

Why was he arrested for murder? Surely it would’ve been taken down to a lesser charge of manslaughter anyway due to the fact he clearly didn’t mean to kill all those officers in the fire. Sure he’d go away for life, but it wouldn’t be for murder.

Suspicion of murder His motives are unknown to Reg etc all they know is Des threw petrol bomb upon investigation perhaps motive would have cone out alas he never got his trial

+animellovers000 yeah reg knew WAY before this that des started the fire cause des was going to commit suicide off a building but reg kept it a secret cause he knew it was a accident but then obviously des left reg for dead in that warehouse fire so reg had enough here basically.
