its very rare in any programme to actually see someone move up the ranks the way smithy has we have seen him grow from a bit of a gobby git as a pc to a well respected sergent then to an inspector well done smithy and well done jack for finally getting the supers chair think the bbc should re-comission it it will be a ratings winner
