Pennny was 1 of the Original Cast & played it brilliantly - made 1 other appearance employed as a Secutity Guard & Ted Roach had 2 explain 2 Penny that HE WAS NO LONGER A COPPER!! Sadly He died of Cancer RIP

Trial? It's just a drink drive hearing at the local magistrates court where you plead guilty get a 12 month ban and a fine. Police are treated exactly the same as Joe public on that score. What follows is internal. Certainly no trial for DD as no accident, no one injured. I would have corrected that Doctor.

An almost clinical depiction of creeping paranoia. The weird thing was that it did appear to be a set-up. I’ve seen the same thing happen on Malibu Highway. Almost like fishermen who’ve found a shoal of fish. Just hang across the road from the bar, and reel em in.

I don’t think they ever mentioned it on air, but I was always amused by Penny’s barely concealed Australian accent. And yes, I know Roger Leach was Australian-born.

'Sierra' stands for "Sergeant' - it would've been a call signed shared amongst different sergeants on different blocks/reliefs.

Derek Conway had the same call sign at the time, seemed to be an oversight. Jane Kendall also had SO54 at the same time as Conway in '93.

For The Bill? For me, 1984 to 1993. Classic period. No nonsense before it became a soap. The 2000's lost it for me. I have been watching these first few years again during Covid shit and it helps lol I stopped watching in 1993 as I was 18 and had other things to do obviously hahaha, so I am looking forward to those missed years between 1993 and 2000.

I think they do like him he just speaks abit too much and other stuff. If they didn't like him they wouldn't let him sit on their table at tea breaks and dinner times or invite him down the pub or parties
