Birkenbihl, (forgive me for the spelling). I have to say, this is the only way I have learnt anything in my life. Late 50s, not neurotypical and an ol girl, I've battled learning things all my life. I only realised with time, that I wasn't able to learn, because of the way in which educators and the education systems around our tiny globe🌐 TEACH. In learning language AT ALL, this, IS the way, the ONLY way, in which the folded fats in my head, could pick a language up. One week ago, I stumbled onto this SAiNT of a woman, teaching in ways I CAN understand. I finally feel as though I have been 🤲 HEARD.

Looks like it depends a lot on the type of language spoken on the recording, because I mean you're gonna speak exactly like the people from the recording and this may not be good in some cases.

Ok, trying to understand, why would it be a, "not good", thing? Please understand, one is only trying to understand your meaning. One might mention though, that learning a language in an accent, as your meaning may be understood, is only learning the language. A METHOD of learning languages though, is what this approach to learning a language is. Your environment will provide you with the accent as is evident yes not in all cases, but could be if intentional.

@@interspeciesfamily8043 I mean, If you are learning a new language, you may speak in different style (like formal, informal...) than in your mother language. I was using ted talks as a material for the last couple of months, because I didn't find any large source of informal language material, but now I tend to speak more formally than I would like. But several weeks ago I found Easy Languages chanel, which is exactly what I want. It's the same with accents as well, I mix american accent, RP and northern british accents which may sound weird, however, I think it's only temporary problem and it's going to get better as I will have done more and more videos/recordings.

There is only one method to learn a language, regular practice. Learn a language for 2 hrs every day you will hit intermediate in 6 months and expert in 2 years. If you try to speed this journey you might succeed in strengthening one of the 4 areas of language proficiency but not all. Once again maintain discipline, read, listen, write and speak for 2 hrs every day (all together).

Why has she got such a foreign accent when speaking English? Does not say much for the pronunciation effect of this method.

Who cares about the accent? If she can manage the language and has a very good grasp on vocabulary, I don't see why it'd be an issue to have an accent

@J. W. K. He said he'd been practicing for two weeks. I would personally call that impressive. When I learned english I used her method without even knowing about it and I'm pretty close to fluent now.

It is only pseudoscience for those for whom not having to live with self-blame of not being able to learn until it is realised that the method of teaching could have made all the difference. I for one, am finally learning. It is just a case if realising, that the existing ways of teaching, are indeed not the only ways of teaching, as it is with all things in life.

Language is a way to express otherwise inexpressible or hardly expressible stuff, so you basically have to somehow connect the imaginations and just stuff you want to say with those sounds and groups of letters. And this is exactly what this method does, so it's not pseudosience, you didn't understand it.
