Navigating ski run numbers can be a mystery, as their order doesn't always seem to follow logic. If it did, Vallon might not have been named 'The Black #1.' Yet, there's a charm to this numbering, perhaps a nod to its unparalleled beauty.
The journey begins with the chairlift to Vallon, an adventure in itself. The ascent is steep, but reaching the summit reveals a breathtaking amphitheater of natural wonders. Skeptical? We invite you to see for yourself, especially if you're traversing the orange Sellaronda. Once atop with the Boé gondola, look for the chairlift on your right-it's your gateway to this majestic vista.

How many times a month do you sharpen your edges and wax the bases? Do you structure the base too. I do!!!; mine are 88 - 88 degrees.

Twice a year, structure for the cold months from December to February and then in March structure for wet snow. That's all.

Ski runs colors ... like hotel stars ... are just a way to fool people and rise their ego. Like saying ... I slept in a 5star hotel ... or I skied a black run ... make people feel so proud 😂😂😂

😂😂 incredible how many comments I get this year about snow conditions. Well we have been lucky the whole season. While other areas all around the alps suffered from lack of snow in the Dolomites .... this "happy" place ... we just got lucky 😂😂

In the Dolomites you will not find any slopes categorized with diamonds like in the US. It's just: - blue - red - black and yes ... all those slopes are groomed. Like one of our habitual guests at Ustaria Posta 📯 says every year: That's not "Dolomiti Superski" but Dolomiti "SuperKinderGarten" 😂😂😂

Northern slopes are ok, forget southern ones ... unless you ski up the couloirs at the Sella Massif

@@UstariaPosta Thanks much but I am not sure about what is northern vs southern, first time visitor to the Dolomites. If it’s not too much of a bother, perhaps you could give some examples of northern vs southern slopes ? What is good, not too extreme ? Also when you say “ski up the couloirs at the Sella Massif” do you mean Val Mesdi or Val Lasties or the actual couloirs ie canales ? Would appreciate some insight of course. Would like to try someone off piste which is not too hard etc ! Thanks again UP !

@@saintrroy If you are not an expert forget the Sella couloirs ... I didn't say anything 😂 North facing = where the sun doesn't shine South facing = where the sun shines But as I don't know where you are going you should ask the locals at the place where you go for suggestions.
