Tough to beat a team that could have turned their back to the basket, heaved the ball, and it would have went in. They were beyond hot with their shooting. Note, no one could keep that level of play up every game. They did a great job. See what the tournament brings.

They shot 14/28 from 3. And most of those were wide open because uconn was doubling and creighton was finding open players. This creighton team already makes 10 3s a game and for the first half of the season they shot way below what they are capable of. Uconn is a great team but don't dismiss creighton as some one off fluke. They deserve more respect then that.

The crowd played a big part in this amazing win. Good for Creighton. UCONN needs some good competition and Creighton was fantastic. As a CT resident and long time UCONN fan (no excuses) they looked a little tired. If they lose the next 3, that's something. Losing one game is no big deal. Competition is good for our sport.

Creighton played excellent defense on Karaban and Spencer at the three point line. When they're trailing that tightly maybe do some curls to the hoop instead of always fading to the 3 pt line. Also with those hard closeouts i wish they would've drove hard to the hoop.

I love how UCONN gets steamrolled and its "Just one of those nights" and "I thought UCONN still played well". Where when Purdue lost in the final seconds and it's "Is this a sign of things to come?" and "Is it time to Panic". Always making excuses for UCONN and always looking for an excuse to trash Purdue. For the record I think both teams are great. To see them both in the final for would be incredible. The bias is just unbelievable

This game was over the minute UConn destroyed Marquette Saturday. UConn had no chance on the road, short turnaround and Creighton is a very, very good team. Trashing UConn does a disservice to Creighton. They played a very, very good game. An A-plus game. Deserved to win. I’m a UConn fan and I knew UConn was going to lose. Winning on the road is tough. Period. Curious to see where they end up in the polls. Historically, it seems UConn falls farther than most whenever they lose. Heck, Duke could be .500 and they’re still ranked. Not that polls matter. They’re going to lose at Marquette as well and maybe Providence too. Road games are tough to win.

ive been saying it for awhile now, but if you can limit karaban and spencer, UConn becomes very beatable. Thats what Kansas did when they played them too. You just need the right personnel to be physical with karaban and a guard who can harass cam spencer and put pressure on him. 14 wins in a row or not, my opinion on them hasnt changed. Great team, but they arent an unstoppable juggernaut.

@antidote7 I do, actually. I'm a Purdue fan. When we lose a close game to OSU, most people freak out and claim how much worse Purdue is compared to UConn. Then when UConn loses by 19 to Creighton, people (like one of the guys here) praise the effort UConn had to get it back to 10 with a few minutes left (not even close to tying!), instead of understandably calling out the flaws of a team that just lost by 19 (which they did for a Purdue team that lost by way less). It's a double standard for two teams that are both great.

When a team is shooting that well, and there is a home crowd going crazy, no matter how good everything else is, it going to be a miracle to beat them. @user-32ay4gc7xa yes I know exactly what you are talking about. In our losses on the road to Northwestern and Nebraska, the other team shot 50% and 60% from 3 respectively, which is the same or better than what Creighton just did to y'all. But again, no one gave Purdue any praise for "hanging in there" or cutting the lead to almost single digits at any point. Ohio State is also ranked about the same in the NET and KenPom rankings as Seton Hall, so if you want to talk about losses to bad teams, we could start with a 15 point loss there. Again, both of these teams are great, but one gets cut a lot more slack than the other.

The sports media has been hyping UConn as some sort of unstoppable buzz saw. They aren’t, and never have been. They struggled to beat a weak, vastly overrated St. John’s. They barely beat PC at home, and PC isn’t even projected to make the tournament. I saw the first Georgetown game live, and UConn struggled to put that pathetic team away. Oooo! How do you beat UConn? How, you let them beat themselves. Clingan gets in foul trouble. Happens a lot. Karaban and Spencer disappear. Happens a lot, especially with Alex (no rebounds, no assists, 2-7 shooting tonight). And you hope Castle is an offensive train wreck, which he is as often as not, and certainly was tonight. It does help you to beat UConn if you have a great shooting night, but a number of teams are capable of that. People went nuts over UConn’s Marquette win. That win was entirely misleading; Marquette had all sorts of open threes and just missed them. Expect Marquette at home to flip the script on UConn, just as Creighton did.
@YeIIowNBA

This is such a weird take. Ur entire comment is just cherry picking, when almost all teams who are top 10 right now “struggled” to put bad teams away. And you point out St John’s? Their record isn’t a good indicator here, when they faced them, they were a top 40 team in NET, top 30 on kenpom. It’s hard to win an away game against any team unless it’s DePaul or Georgetown. Point out UConns flaws but let’s ignore everyone else’s, difference is, UConn was winning (14 game win streak) so it doesn’t matter if it was close or not, (point differential in the 14 games was +16 btw)

@@mrmojorisin8752 then you must of not been paying attention to college basketball for any season whatsoever and only hop on trends that better support your “points” so no, I didn’t re-enforce your points and my point still stands. You’re a professional cherry picker. One or two games where they didn’t put away bad teams (which they did +16 point differential, and ironically you left those ones out but put in St John’s, a quality team metric wise who have a top 30 offense and were top 40 in NET) doesn’t make them not a buzz saw. They just had a 14 game win streak at a +16 point differential, and if they won this game would have had a big East record. Here’s the thing, they ran into a top 15 team who plays the best at home (like all 99.9% of teams) and couldn’t come up with the win. Houston got manhandled by Kansas, and people still hold them as 1c. The thing is, you search for the media, and when you finally come across one, you run with it. If you actually paid attention to the sport, you would know 75% of media outlets had Purdue as the best body of work resume wise, but skill wise UConn. And that Purdue, Houston, and UConn are 1a, 1b, and 1c and are miles ahead of other teams. Creighton winning at home isn’t the comment you think it is my friend. They are still overwhelming favorites, and will remain that way. You can’t just put aside everything they’ve done all season because of one loss. But congratulations on thinking I reinforced your statement 💀😂
