My favorite cars I’ve driven (in order) 1- C7 Z06 2- 2018 M2 (manual version) 3- 2017 M5 4- ZL1 1LE 5- Lexus RC 500 I know no one asked or probably cares but I thought I’d just share 😄

1 - it's not a 0-60 car. It's a canyon carver. 2 - there is sport plus mode u missed that sharpens throttle even more and that relaxes traction control. And you can turn off traction completely. 3- the DCT is the best auto on market outside Porsche PDK. It shifts very quickly no matter your foot. Something is wrong. 4 - if all you care about is sound and 0-60 times then yes buy a cheap muscle car from 'merica

I'm not fan of BMW or M2, but the lesson I learned from this video is American dragsters don't get it.

Moans the shifts are slow, doesn’t drive the car in it’s fastest shift mode.

Gotta take it on the twisties and get sideways to enjoy it

RP Productions I drive a Charger Hellcat and used to have 2017 SS1LE. I've driven the M2 and the M2 Competition and both are amazing drivers cars. My 1LE did handle better than both M2s BUT I felt more confident in the M2 while driving Willow Springs. I lapped faster times with the 1LE. BMW M cars just feel surgical and give a feeling of attachment I cant get from other cars. I haven't driven the new C8 so I cant compare the 2 but the M2 is dam near perfect drivers car. Keep in mind the M2 Competition has completely different motor from the standard M2. The N55 is in the M2 and S55 is in the M2 Competition. The S55 with just a ECU tune can make 550hp to the wheel the same motor found in the M3 and M4. KZfaq didnt lie to you , you just got the M2 completely wrong.

not trying to hate on your video but you may want to do a little research before doing a "car review". Pushing the button on the left stalk will bring a digital speedometer up. Also, there are three drive modes not two... Comfort, sport, and sport+. Keep in mind this is coming from someone who's owned a M2 for three days.

This was a half fast review on your part. You essentially reviewed a scalpel but used it as a screwdriver and wondered why it was working so well. That car's balance at the limit is amazing, and such an experience. Shame, I'm a former miata guy and drive an 18 m2 and found that it was a nice switch while retaining a portion of the fun from the miata.

I was shopping for an M2 and got turned on to the ss1le. After a comparison it was a no brainer to go with the camaro. It's not the perfect car, but for the money you can't go wrong.

The BMW M2 has an overboost feature (12 or so seconds) but it only seems to work reliably in the Normal drive mode, not in Sport mode. My theory is that Sport mode causes the engine to blow air over the turbo to keep it spooled up to help throttle response, but that defeats the overboost feature. Anyway, in Normal mode, if you boot it (and after 2 seconds of turbo lag), the M2 rockets out of the gate. It's strange I know. Anyway I own a 2018 M2.

You got to put it in sport+ to feel the power and yes you feel the lag coz it’s a turbo charge not supercharger

I have a SS 1LE and was considering one of these for my next car. Seems like I'm not missing much but refinement.

I mean if I had traction control on I would want some grip not tons of wheel spin especially in a rear wheel drive car

Three pedals, rear wheel driver, and a hand brake that’s all I need. So hard to find these days.

Same money get a F10 M5...That car is jeckle and hyde. Its a limo, its a sports car. They are amazing and supercar fast. Good orig owner low mile ones are going quick. I know, I got one last year.

the m2 competition is the one you want. it handles better and you get the S55 motor which is the one in the m3/4. with just FBO and e85 you're upwards of 550 wheel

For the used market price, I’d definitely go for the ATS-V over this M2 as i own one, its definitely also more fun than those Camaros.
