2 жыл бұрынA very grainy video clip from a concert by The Bob Hall / George Green Boogie Woogie Band at Swindon Arts Centre circa 1979. This was the second concert by the band in Swindon and on this track you hear George Green piano, Charlie Watts drums, Colin Smith trumpet, Dick Morrissey tenor, John Picard trombone and Bob Hall vocals.

We use to see Bob Hall in London clubs in early 1970's and knew he travelled aroung but didn't realise Charlie Wats played with him, sorry I missed it, in my home town too. Think he pkayed at the Oxford in Swindon one time, great.

John Picard (trombone) came to prominance in Humphrey Lyttleton's band. Love this 'grainy' solo! Thank you for posting!!

Thanks for uploading this! Must be from January 27, 1978 then, if it is the second of your Swindon shows (the first one was on June 12, 1977 but had no guitar player, this video has one [uncredited], must be John Forte).

Thanks for this information. The un-credited guitar player sitting in was a friend of Stu's and I had completely forgotten his name. I think he only played with us the one time. This whole concert was recorded by Swindon Viewpoint but it seems the rest of it has been lost.

@@bigsunflower88 Thanks for the additional info - what a pity that the rest of the footage seems to be lost. I only knew the guitarists name through a lengthy concert review which I have from the show (written by Barry Leighton).
