Did the United States Navy deploy its flying nuclear command Boeing E6 Mercury aircraft in response to the President catching the coronavirus?
In early October, as people woke up to the news that the President and First Lady had tested positive for COVID-19, Twitter users reported that a Boeing E6 Mercury had been spotted near Washington D.C. and another flying over Oregon.

The E6 even being seen is a show of force, nothing else. It happens to be up tonight as well, like most other nights.

Yeah, it should be quite obvious now, but they were regularly scheduled flights. I guarantee that if you go on ADS-B Exchange right now, there's an E-6 flying somewhere over America.

The Mercury is such a cool plane! I see them relatively often as many of them are stationed at a nearby AFB. 0:43 It's not Air Force, it's Navy.

See them quite often flying racetrack patterns over the Great Lakes via ADS-B.

So what you’re seeing is a KC-135. It’s on the same airframe (B707) and does aerial refueling.

@@cameron-w Squak codes are unique and our ADS-B receivers give us a aircraft type as E6 vs. KC135. Also, these flights origninate out of Tinker AFB. We have had visuals on these aircraft as well and their white paint job is easily distinguished from the grey KC135's. Flight patterns are over western Ontario and Lake Huron. We have refueling tracks overlaid on our displays and there are no refuel tracks in that area. We have also had the NASA U-2 in that same area last year. Altitude readout was @ FL620. You can see this also if you have a Flight Aware ADS-B setup.

I'm currently on the same website watching the same plane fly over my little corner of Georgia quite interesting what you see in the skies above you also had a Sam flight leave out of hartsfield headed towards Washington at the same time

Honestly having been in the military. The upper brass really doesn’t care about the president’s health. As long as there is a clear thinking commander in chief they don’t care. At the end of the day enlisted take orders from the officers above them and that’s what matters. Put short it was probably a training flight.

BTW they are rapid alert aircraft, they fly daily 365 days a year, rain or shine. They fly around the coast for subs, like you said, not in response to adversaries. If they were, it would be something more substantial like an AWACS or bomber. It's even publically known that they have to fly daily. Please stop spreading unnecessary speculations around our military.

I thought E6 planes only command planes with nuclear arsenal and ICBMs, and that submarines are commanded by TACAMO planes due to them being part of different military branch (My source being the movie By Dawn’s Early Light haha)

Very good video. If the official statement (by the U.S. Strategic Command) was false (again, big if), I wonder if it’s protocol if/when the President of the U.S. is sick and/or catches something like COVID-19.
