Esau and Jacob were not identical twins, they were fraternal twins. They look different.

1. Jacob and Esau were distinctly NOT the same, nor were they identical twins. The differences between Jacob and Esau are highlighted all through Genesis where they are mentioned. 2. While a lot of people like to stick Obadiah in the first sacking of Jerusalem by the Philistines and Arabs during the reign of Jehoram of Judah, it's important to note that nowhere in 2 Kings or 2 Chronicles, are the Edomites mentioned as either being casual standers-by or allies with the enemies of Judah during that conflict. By contrast, the sacking of Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar II (mentioned in Psalm 137) makes more sense...since Obadiah 1-9 is a solid parallel of Jeremiah 49:7-22 ... which would put this book as recently as 607-586BC (during the reign of Jehoiakim). 3. You really shouldn't focus on the death and destruction of the Edomites (though it's useful to note that prophesy was fulfilled). The POINT for Believers is to note the saving restoration given to the remnant from Judah...without which the Crimson Thread leading to Christ would have been broken.

Edomites are people who are at war with gods people who do not know they are God's people yet...Edomites are in power all over the earth...ask yourself..who is the top power nations...there is your answer

Actually when you stop to think about it they were twins cuz twins are born at the same time or more a few seconds apart they're both in the womb at the same time just as Esau and Jacob were that's twins if there's two people in the womb at the same time and you don't consider than twins and what are they apparently they're going to look alike just one was hairier than the other they were obviously going to have a trait at least one trait or two that separated them from the other

Fraternal twins do not have to look alike, fraternal twins each come from a seperate egg.

They didn't look the same or act the same.. esau (edom) was red and hairy, JACOB was black, GOD'S chosen.. i guess bouncing through the scriptures

No disrespect to anyone on this thread but that is not true yes Jacob and Esau were twins but they were not identical twins they were fraternal twins I already read the book of Josephus. They were nothing alike because the scripture is very clear when the the most high said to Rebecca two Nation are in your womb, 2 manner of people are in your womb. Esau and Jacob are nothing.

Psalm:147:19-20. This is why ,I only TRUE Israel can teach the Bible correctly. Gentiles don't know the heavenly father like the true Israelites.
