would love to see more videos about the books! imo the atmosphere of suspense was so well done, the books do really well at making the reader paranoid about every single character lol.

they kept ezra because marlene thinks ezra is arias soulmate. she said this for an interview and was kinda like this type of assault is wrong but it’s different for them. it’s heavily speculated that she was obsessed with the actor for ezra.

the way i just started reading the first book a few days ago and i’m over halfway through… i will say this though, i definitely didn’t end up ordering the original version of the book box set (1-4) because within the first few chapters, maya and emily watch “dune” (2021) and mona wants to show the girls a video she saw on tiktok… hopefully the only differences are just making the references more modern.

omg why would they do that!! like tweens and younger teens do not like newer references in their media because it feels like pandering and fans of the original pll show definitely wouldn’t want that in them?!?

Those caught me off guard when I bought them to re-read but no the differences are honestly just like someone searched and replaced with more modern pop culture, the story isn’t changed at all!

36:53 i think u got it wrong. spencer was the cover of the first book of each arc. there are like 16 books and 1 arc is 4 books each, with each of the liars being on the cover, so each liar has like 4 books where they are on the cover. and it’s interesting bc in the show spencer began taking center stage in season 3 onwards whereas in the books the girls have equal amount of and storylines. each of the liars’ storyline contribute something to the plot, whereas in the show spencer mostly gets the most important ones. one major difference is that spencer was the liar that gets locked up in a mental institution in the show, in the books it was hanna for her bulimia. so i think there really is not one liar in the books who is like *the* main protagonist, all the liars are.

Mike is a year younger then the girls in the books were Mike is 2 years younger the the girls in the show I think

i think some of the changes were possibly representation, like men can be abused too, for example, but other situations were just…mmmmmmmm
