Agreed. I find that happens a lot in live action shows, least in the movies they're some attempt to try. Same goes for the personalities. I'd love to see the entire Shadowhunter Chronicles drawn out, but mostly the City of Bones characters drawn too. The movie was more accurate than the TV show in my opinion. Plus, it bothered me that Clary never had freckles in either version. I know it's a small thing, but it's super important when it comes to small character descriptions.

Yep, I remember that too! Tall and thin and kinda having this etheral vibe, also because her features are (I think) described like almost elvish or something, like kind of exotic, because of the icy blue eyes and really black hair. I wish they made Aria more like that, even though I love Lucy Hale, she is like an opposite to that in the show. Short, and even though they gave her the artsy vibe, she is not exotic and striking, she's short and cute and soft and gentle.

Strife Cloud ikr! In the books Aria is always called TALL when people comment in her height. Hanna even says she's too tall. On the show, everyone calls Aria short. Lucy Hale is very petite. It legit pissed me off when that she didn't mention that the biggest difference is height.

aster Lucy does look eternal and can pass for a fairy or elf. If she was taller like Shay Mitchell and had black hair her look would've been perfect since she already had fair skin and blue eyes, which Aria should have. Emily Browning or Chloe Bridges or Crystal Reed would've been good choices for Aria too, but I love Lucy. Lucy isn't exotic, but she is a timeless and classic beauty with a Disney Princess look and vibe, innocent, yet sexy.

In literature for whatever reason, when they get adapted, Red Headed characters are always changed to be the POC character in the Film Adaption. Its an on going trope. I don't know why besides maybe red hair is annoying visually? Or too strong? I don't mind it but I did notice it as a thing. It might be a visual thing though. But then they did make Lois Lane a redhead and not black hair in the Superman Movies.

Coming from someone with hazel eyes: The "more brown than green" thing is real. If you're sick, haven't been eating healthy or don't drink enough water, you have more green eyes. But when ur overall more healthy, they are browner. Edit: yes I changed the colours around i wasn't rlly thinking Im just dumb Edit: thanks for the comments and likes!

The iris reflects that darkness and redness more, causing more brown tones to be visible. Eye color can also be affected by the color of your shirt and accessories. For example, if a person with green eyes wears a blue shirt, the material of the shirt will reflect against their eyes and can make them look more blue or grey. Similarly, wearing a red shirt makes hazel eyes appear more brown. This is why some makeup kits have eyeshadow marketed for specific eye colours.

How to train your dragon could be interesting because the books and films are so different (the films are more inspired by than anything which works a lot better for a film adaptation since most characters and plot receive a lot of expansion quite far into the series)

For Emily’s design you did, I’d say that the shoulders should’ve been broader than the hips. Also, chlorine doesn’t make your ends super damaged, but it damages your hair throughout. I’m a swimmer myself so that’s just what I think!

About the hazel eyes- My uncle has hazel eyes and when he is sick his eyes are more green. (Which is why my grandmother always knew that he was lying when he said he was sick) Suggestions for another By The Book: - Goosebumps!!!

@@sabrexi7228 the color doesnt change the witness around the iris changes. Red and green are complimentary colors thats why it looks more green. Also depends on lighting. I have green eyes amd they look even more green when ive been crying because my eyes go pink

Jes S No. The eye completely changes in my father’s eyes. Granted, I don’t know what the witness of the eye is, but the eyes change color with the varying of stress levels or sleep.

@@sabrexi7228 whiteness* and that's completely impossible. Eyes can look different colors in different lightings, my eyes can look blue or gray or extremely green depending on the lighting. But eyes cannot change pigments that is completely impossible. But skin color can change or the white part of the eye can change too which would bring out some the pigments more making it seem like his eyes are a different color but in reality thats not true.

Caroline is probably too accurate because the characters in the movie are 3d animated so it isnt hard to find somebody who looks like the character in the book because you can just animate them.

Another book you could do is Be More Chill by Ned Vizzini. Even though it hasn't been turned into a movie, there is a musical based off of it, and I think it would be interesting to see you tackle something like it. The book and musical is very sci fi like, and some of the characters from the musical are several characters from the book combined together. So, I just thought it'd be interesting for you to compare the way the characters were described in the book, compared to their musical counterparts.

10:30 lol I remember reading a wattpad story where the main character's eyes are a mix between purple and green and at some point her love interest mentioned how they become more purple when she's crying and more green when she's happy??? I WAS SO CONFUSED And it was a decent story it wasn't how wattpad stories are usually written, the tone and narration were really good (the plot was so lacking though) but I digress Edit: fixed some typos

actually the thing with hannahs eyes kind of happens to me. i have greenish brown eyes and when im sick or i slept really bad they look browner and more glazed over but when im healthy and ive slept well they actually show through more of the green.

@@tylovsuu the movie was awful. It mixed up all three movies into a mess. Really? A happy ending, I mean it was nice to see them have a good end but it kinda messed it up. Although I'm very happy to see Olaf go through the same thing, but... meh. The series at least did it, well. We'll better then most. But it's sad because now the books only have the tv show on the cover instead of the weird but really interesting art in the real covers. Read the books.

While the Netflix series is pretty good and far more accurate than the movie (and does not reduce Violet's entire role), I actually feel that the movie gets the whole dark and gothic tone of the books better than the Netflix series. But then it had to go screw it all up by only adapting three books and mixing up the plot. Also you should totally read the book series, they're the best. There are many differences such as that the Netflix series paints VFD in a better light while in the books, VFD is far more complex.

Clary’s mother and her look like they should play the other one. Clary’s mother was supposed to have the fiery red hair that Clary had, and Clary was supposed to have a more brown-red colour. (Clary was also supposed to be flatter, etc, but that’s not something you can change easily. 😂)

This was my favorite book series as a preteen and teen. I finished one of the books in a day when I first bought it. I hold a piece of my heart with PLL. The show... It was alright. I remember being so exited hearing they were coming out with a show. It's definitely different. It's much more theatrical and cheesy. I love your designs and am so happy you brought them to live! 😊

In regards to the changing eye colors bit around 10:40, it's not all that anime-y. My eyes will vary in color depending on my mood. Blues - Content/Calm/Normal, Greys - Downcast/Upset, and Greens when I'm really excited. Just a bit of information I thought you might like to know.

If you ever decide to revisit this series, I think some fun ones to do would be Monster High -- while not at major Hollywood production, their descriptions are vastly different from their doll and cartoon appearances -- and Twilight!
