@@user-xr3ul2xc1l I don't think they wrote the connection until Gen V. If her powers are like Marie's, she'd be able to sense/feel it. At least probably... like a Bloodbender. Her powers seem to work however they (the writers) want them to, at the time. We never see her have eyes on the Deputy Director lady and she just went pop. Honestly? I think they changed what her powers were since it was kinda vague, to begin with. She seemed to be more like Cindy in dealing with pressure, just expansion rather than compression. Everything she did in The Boys was always so splodey. Plus the high-pitched noises you hear when the pressure changes. Plus... why make someone's head pop if you could just... not? Especially if it exposes her to being found out. Just a guess, though. I think we'll have to wait and see to let them solidify what that really means.

Idk if you've been in any serious contentious relationship with someone for whatever reason. But when it comes down to it, he'd rather anything else happen than accept Soldier Boy's help in any way. Especially when he doesn't think he's done anything wrong. Just saying, as someone who has been there, stuff like that can drive you to do the wrong thing for the right reasons. Or the not smart thing. Some things are more important no matter how dumb it sounds.

Fucking thank you. I literally said half this shit on the last episode and haven't seen anyone say anything similar since. If I was Hughie, I would have hit Annie with the biggest, most obnoxious "I told you so" that this world has ever seen. Like what the fuck did you think would happen if you kept poking an unstable nuclear bomb? It blows up in your face, and now that you put the world even more at risk and your boyfriend included, your big idea is to fight him with the power of friendship? Are you kidding me? And where does she get off with accusing Hugie of teaming up with a murderer? The Boys are murderers. The Supes are murderers. Her boyfriend is a murderer. SHE'S a murderer. Why tf would you choose to morally grandstand now that we have the key to saving the world from the problem that you made worse? This whole season was Annie making a big problem and everyone else dealing with the consequences while she tries and fails to come up with a better plan. The writers gotta come up with a godlike redemption arc for her in the next season for her to regain her good status. When Emme was pushing for Annie to dump Hughie, I was in complete agreement because I wanted Hughie to find someone better, not the other way around.

Edgar might have encouraged Annie to do what he does but Annie should have realised that Edgar is borderline a pyschopath who doesn't feel anything. As long as you don't fear Homelander he won't do shi*. But Annie does fear Homelander and he knows it very well. Her stunt got Supersonic killed (although ss is quite dumb going to A-train)@@sets445

I dunno, I find the whole Annie business, the hypocrisy, using V24, Soldier Boy being the lesser evil all to be quite entertaining to be honest. They're all murderers. They're all traumatized in a way. They're all flawed and have relatable traits. But I don't think anyone is completely right on this show. It doesn't convey that either. They all have valid motivations and reasons why they are who they are, why they do what they do (and how they go about it). I more than understand M.M. and Annie, just like I get why Hughie wants to be more useful. And why temporarily teaming up with Soldier Boy is a tactical possibility. Still there are more ways to go about something and get results. What I personally wished for is that the Boys for once came up with contigency plans like professionals. In case their plans don't turn out how they want. But that would probably make for a lousy drama show I guess. Also characters are just that, characters. They characterize or portray certain aspects of real people. Imo they aren't meant to be full-fledged individuals. They are a certain part of a story. Sometimes they're stereotypes, other times traditional archetypes. Though they develop as the show progresses they do often represent and express their own view to a fault. Again, because they aren't meant to see or understand the full picture. They [characters] need each other to grow and progress the plot.

@@justjdnl I mean the trademark of boys is things going south so bad that the story shifts. But Annie is annoying as hell there is no debate in that. Risking the lives of thousands for the sake of moral highground is just petty as hell

​​@@Agent-57I'm all for things going bad for the sake of good story and television. I just don't think the Boys come across as professional enough. I like their chaotic, rebel nature but imo one of them at least could plan a bit more, tactically or strategically. But perhaps their luck and quirkiness makes up for it. Again, I'm not really bothered by Annie. It makes for fun drama in my eyes. I understand her resentment and the method she uses. Is it smart? Not necessarily. But I love the way it triggers Homelander. Plus all parties involved risk innocent people getting hurt. All the time. Vought, Supes, the Boys, and so on. Morality was never truly a relevant matter in this world, everything is already morally fucked up. And what isn't yet will be soon. So Annie becoming like any other person on this show only seems right.
