The scene is where Christopher Daniel Barnes as Greg Brady goes to a record company and talks to a producer played by Barry Williams, about making a record, and he laughs at him for writing the song "Clowns Never Laugh Before" and he basically tells Greg to get with the times such as write something that sounds more like Grunge from Seattle and then he leaves. Then Greg tries hitting on the receptionist who ends up turning him down.

The juvenile satire of this scene is designed to show how 'innocent' the original Brady Bunch was way back when... then give it a 180º spin from the original by using unnecessarily obvious sexual innuendo that this Carol and Mike implausibly use, but don't 'get'. The original Brady Bunch writers wouldn't have ever written dialog this ripe back in the day. Such dialog also wouldn't have gotten past the network censors. The original Carol and Mike were both street savvy enough to get such clear sexual innuendo, unlike this movie's Carol and Mike who act like they've never even heard of a condom. Also, what parents would ever act this unprotective and casual with the boyfriend of their daughter on the way out for a date? This scene is only moderately funny in an embarrassingly awkward and schadenfreude way. If you want to see a better written and similarly staged scene in a movie that's actually much funnier, watch the protective parent scene in Clueless when Cher is about to go out with her boyfriend. That kind of overprotective parents scene would have played far better here.

Yeah but this movies using stereotypes of how the 70s was naive and innocent while the 90s was grungy and sleazy even though realistically the 70s wasn’t all that the innocent. Mike and Carol were originally street smart like how they knew Greg’s date was using him for something but in this movie, like I mentioned, they are as naive and innocent as the 70s were portrayed.
