There is so much more to a trackday than just tearing around the track, it is like an interactive raceday where you are the star! They are so much fun and are an amazing way to learn how your bike handles in relative safety, far far safer than pushing on on the roads, and no speeding tickets too!
No Limits Trackdays are IMO the best organised, safest and most fun, they are incredibly professional and look after those who have never been on one before with as much care as those that hold a season ticket, novices and racers are catered for and all treated equally. MSV also put on a good trackday, and even offer Novice only days too. This was a No Limits day though and was enormous fun.
Brands Hatch is a wonderful circuit, it has a couple of configurations, the short circuit known as Brands Hatch Indy, and the full circuit known as Brands Hatch GP. The GP circuit isn't run very often so having finished running in my Triumph Street Triple R [LRH] I jumped at the chance to put it through it's paces. Brands Hatch GP circuit is quite possibly my favourite track that I have tried so far, it is around 2.6 miles and is an adrenaline fuelled circuit not to be missed. The last time I was on track was back in 2014 (I actually thought it was longer ago) and with me being on a new bike that was a lot faster than I have been used to the last few years I felt novice was the most sensible option to book into.
This little video hopefully showcases the fun and excitement a trackday can offer, and also shows just how safety conscious both the trackday organiser No Limits and the track owners MSV (MotorSport Vision) are in ensuring everyone is as safe as possible. I also highly recommend Peter Wileman Photography and suggest if you do a trackday with No Limits that you touch base with him before your first session to get him to concentrate on your bike if you want some awesome kneedown photos of you looking like a proper racer! :D
