Die hard Bok fan here. Love and respect the ABs since I was a kid. Was 7 with the 1995 game, and since then have so many great memories from this rivalry! Last week I thought, no way I will accept a loss to Eng; but with the final; Im sure the better team will win; whether it is us or the ABs, will be happy because I know its the best team in the world and I can respect it. Good luck, and hope to see the Ka Mate to throw down the gauntlet (has a special place for me as a supporter of the Boks to see it, but even know the Kapa O Pango will set the stage!)

Interesting, if it had been us against France in the QF, I don't think we'd have beaten them. Some teams just have your number, and at the moment the French in particularly at home, certainly have ours. I don't think people realize the rivalry between France and the AB's. Against SAF, they couldn't find that extra-bit of mongrel; moreover, SAF, played a wonderful game of Rugby.

Kiwi here. I'm so impressed with this bokkie and coaching squad. They're definitely up for it! Knowing that the Bokkies weren't allowed to contest 2 world cups when they also had a great team 87, 91. Then they win their first one in 95 against our team with J Lomu. However only one team goes home a winner..... None of them will be northern hemisphere teams☝️😜😁 Legacy and pedigree over good form. This is the clash of the titans.

It's not just experience for experience sake either. A lot of these Bok players were the same who lost to Japan, Wales, Scotland, Italy, Ireland, England, NZ, Australia and Argentina over the past 8 years and went through the dark days with the Bokke, to then rise up, beat NZ in NZ, win a world cup and a British & Irish Lions series. These guys have been through the mud together and come out the other side as Champions. Underdogs forever, and never give up! All respect to the ABs and all their fans. One thing we have in common as fans (SA & NZ) is that we've been waiting for this one for almost 30 years. Let's go Bokke!

The incredibly skilful and rapid ABs are our most respected opponents. I have been watching them as a kid in the 70s from our farm in the Biggarsberg in Northern KwaZulu. Nothing comes close to an ABs /Springbok match for me. -Sid Going , Bill Bush , Brian Williams, Tane Norton and Grant Batty - I can see them still now as clear as day. Dad would get the Lister diesel generator thumping away early on in the day, our old B&W TV would crackle into life and we would sit riveted and fascinated by this team from the far end of the Earth. NH teams and their rivalry will never match the history, tradition and intensity of our clashes. Lots has been said about their style as the way they are are going to beat us. Lots has been said about our "slow forwards" and how we are going to be stretched. Ok .That will work if the ABs are playing in our half We will need to match the ABs in ferocity at the break down, give them the ball in their half and invite them to play from there. That's our style - Polly and Faf will be pinning them back there and our backs are just as fast and skilful And we have the best two forward packs in the world ready to do some serious damage and strangle that Bobby Dazzle right out of them. Good luck ABs - if you can pull a Mount Smart this time round then the best team in the tournament has won.

Do you not think, you will get penalised for killing ABs, that's a bit harsh. Im sure both NZ and SA will continue win or lose. My family and children mean more to me than a rugby game. Winning this game is fun and will be awesome, but win or lose Im proud of this team and what they have done, just like Im proud of my son when he comes third in his race. Just a small question. What is the chance if it is close towards the end and the Boks need a penalty to win. Would Rassie instruct them to deliberately do a knock on, with the Bomb Squad on, to get a scrum so as to get a penalty? Im trying to think like Rassie to see where he could get an advantage in some way! Just trying to play the chess game like Rassie has been the chessmaster throughout the World Cup. Hoping for a good game, so nervous and I'm hoping for the ABs to be able to squeak in. It's going to be such a humdinger of a game.

My comment I guess has to do with the content of kiwi rugby shows (I'm a kiwi). There's almost no analysis. No discussion shedding light on tactics. I'm not an expert, and its so refreshing when someone can explain the patterns of phase play or how we might be using pods or decoy runners. Or how our defense underwent a huge shift from man on man to man on ball. And to see replays, pausing the action, to explain these things. And I almost always get these insights when I watch foreign shows. Buy not Kiwi shows. We talk in cliches about ‘manning up’ or ‘the big occassion’ or so and so has been ‘huuuuuge’. But almost nothing as to what the coaches are implementing - complicated patterns designed to beat the opposition. Why is this?? Nz is a rugby nation but our major network shows - especially anything with JK on a panel, are so trivial. You don't gain insights at all.
@johnjames66205 ай бұрын
To my mind (and I am not having a goat this NZ or any other broadcast) but I think it's pretty stupid to ask people to forecast a score in a match involving close teams. How could one have forecast the NZ / Ireland score or the Boks / French score. And as we have seen the winning margin of 12 (in NZ's favor) forecast by Dagg was so far off. Mehrtens put it far better by saying that it was too close to call.

Am I missing something here Mehrts? How is this too tough to call? Ok yes, Mbombela, BUT that was an ABs side completely mashed post Ireland and new coaches in charge. Ok, Twickenham for the Qatar Tomato Sauce Cup, seriously? Who cares. The two SERIOUS times we have played the Boks, Ellis Park 22 and Auckland 23, we have wiped the floor with them. England was seconds from beating them as well meanwhile we destroy the Argies in 2nd gear. The Boks have gone in with 7 forwards so they will hold and maul all night, in the cold dark, Parisian night, with Colby as reserve halfback (no joke). I dont think the ABs are just going to sit there and just watch. The Irish were comfortably held and choked out with 14 men. I also dont think the ABs will give Colby and Arendse the ball to run. England provided the plan. Scrum, kick, force error, repeat. Anyway... Ill say it. I will be shocked if we don't win and convincingly, like the 2015 final.

totally agree NZ win the games that matter most of the time also pretty much the same players NZ beat at Ellis park and Mt Smart minus Am and Marx ABs by 15

its going to rain. Its not going to be conditions that suit running rugby. France destroyed the ABs with their great kicking game and if Pollard and faf can follow the same gameplan, we will have a match on our hands

This didn’t age well for you. This is what happens when you make excuses and become bigheaded .

Amazing how NZ went from "cant wait" and "greatest rivalry" before to "well there are problems in rugby" afterwards. Well done to the Kiwis who can admit their team was not 100% on the day. Its about rugby

I just hope either Team Wins, NOT the Referee , NOT the Touch Judges ...I just hope that a Poor Decision doesn't Win or Lose it for either Team, of course I'm picking the AB's but may the better Team Win 🏆

All I can say as a Springbok fan is that I love the NZ confidence and we love being the underdog. Good luck.

Can’t say that either team are underdogs in this match. That’s reason both camps nervous and excited
