Josh was around 5 years old when his Father first experienced a panic attack. Over the years Josh has watched his Father struggle with the ups and downs that come with an anxiety disorder and agoraphobia.
The Father that we speak of here, is me. Josh is my son, and this is his story of what it's like to live and grow up with a parent who suffers with anxiety and panic disorder.

Really enjoyed that, I only developed severe anxiety after my kids had left home so they don't really understand it.

Brilliant podcast well done Josh he was so mature and understanding. I think he raised some amazing points l like it when he said a parent with anxiety as to be the parent first then a child can deal with the parents anxiety issues or consequences of having anxiety. This could be applied to many mental health conditions. The other important points were education l totally agree with that and teaching younger children how to be tolerate and compassion for others from an early age. Finally sharing that you have anxiety with others but this would need to be with close trustworthy people so that you don't get exploited for being vulnerable. My own conclusion Billy is that you have a son to be proud of and you both deserve praise for having such a honest open relationship thank you l really enjoyed the podcast Well done to you both.

I grew up with an anxious parent, and also had a bad experience on a Pirate Ship ride, lol.
