Lyrics anyone? Well -At Brexit they got frustrated… -They did. -As it was dragged out and non-stop debated… -Ages. -So, we Irish we feel obligated -We do. -To explain to them one simple fact. That we don’t understand how the English can’t see… after all they’ve experienced colonially, The one thing that’s clear from their history Is that it’s hard to break free from a union. -It’s awful hard to break free from a union, lads! -That’s true. -Sure, wouldn’t we know all about that in our little country ? -We would indeed. In Ireland for hundreds of years we tried we even left, part of the country behind So, we can’t understand all the English surprise That it’s hard to break free from a union -What about India lads? -Oh, they had it tough. After 200 years being occupied The British they finally stepped aside When asked, Mahatmaaaaaaaa, Gandhi replieeeeeeeed “It is one of life’s undeniable facts” That it’s hard to break free from a union -What about the lads, down under? -Oh, the Australians? Separated by thousands of miles of sea They still have the queen on their currency It should have been… Crocodile Dun… Deeeeeee…. But it’s hard to break free from a union -and there was the Egyptians as well -Oh, sure that’s still going on. After 100 years of freedom Their shit is still in the British Museum Even Tutankhamun’s grandson… had to pay, into see hiiiiiiim. Cause it’s hard to break free from a union. -But sure, they weren’t the only countries lads in fairness -Oh no…. Botswana, Bahrain, Qatar, Nauru, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan too. Saint Kitts and Nevis, Seychelles, Palestine! Sri Lanka and Malta, all took their time, Myanmar, Mauritius, Lesotho, Kuwait, Kenya, Jordan, Iraq had to wait!! Guyana, Grenada, Fiji and Sudan Jamaica, Malawi took ages to plan -There’s loads more Johnny you are just going to have to speed her up!!! Brunei, Belize, Barbados, Bahamas Canada, Cyprus Dominica, Tonga South Africa, Solomon Islands Uganda Malaysia, Libya Kiribati and Ghana The Gambia, Yemen Tanzania, Tuvalu Zambia, Zimbabwe Maldives, Vanuatu Trinidad and Tobago Swaziland, and Saint Lucia UAE, USA Antigua and Barbuda Afghanistan, St Vincent’s and the Grenadines. Yeahhhh it’s Hard to break free from a union. -Oh, boys that’s one hell of a list. -Thanks be to God, for Wikipedia -Tin whistle solo! -Here we go! So, believe when we say that we know how you feel After trying for years to broker a deal. As the European Parliament slowly revealed: -Oh, we are going to make it very hard to break free from this union- Now we know it’s not our fight to fight And leave or remain well we don’t give a shite But it’s ruining the news every single night -Why lads? Cause, it’s Hard to break free from a union.

Scotland breaking free of the Union in this day and age would be terrible, get rid of or reform the SNP so that it actually has the best interest of Scotland and its people in mind, push for further independence within the UK and then try and leave, that's the best bet. Its clear the people of Scotland are smart enough to not just delve into "freedom" out of National pride after 2014 which is comforting, but if Scotland did leave all that would happen is you'd become like a weaker version of Ireland. Terrible Leaders under the SNP, you'd rejoin the EU putting yourself into ANOTHER union which completely takes away from the whole national pride and freedom thing. Most Scots that are anti-union from my experience seem to be young, uneducated on the History of the matter and are feuled by a dislike of being asociated with England which is incredibly petty.. Personally I'd like to see an independent Scotland, England and Wales but at this point in our story it is not a good idea especially when England is the main powerhouse in the UK at the moment. (despite my name being of an English placename, If Scotland did go independent I am very eligable for what would be Scottish Citizenship and I am descendent of Anti-Unionist Scots who had been as such since 1701, I'm biased more towards supporting the independence cause more than anything)

"Even Tutankhamen's grandson had to pay in to see him" made me laugh! He had no children that made it past infancy, so no grandchildren. The Egyptian royal line died out with him and his sister/wife. After that, people just kept taking the throne by power. (Just taking an opportunity to talk about one of my favorite subjects! 😁). But the whole song was hysterical and I loved it! Thank you guys!
