A few months back at a gas station here in Toronto, this older gentleman had too many lottery amd lotto tickets to check and each time the machine played the sorry-play-again sound. I think the penultimate one he won a chance to play an extra card. I just felt such a profound sadness for him, especially having never played one myself. I asked the gas station attendant if he had ever played himself. He shook his head.

Would Cranston work for a character in the Ghostbusters sequel? Maybe as a brother of one of the original members who was jealous of his bro's Ghostbusters success and winds up accidentally freeing/creating the villain? Thoughts?
@Javier.M.
@Javier.M. Жыл бұрын
Maybe Winston's evil business partner ? He joins the company for access to Ghostbusters information(psycho fan), but Winston doesn't care so he feels betrayed. He ends up buying the Ghostbusters old building to "renovate it" and he accidentally finds a ghost and he pacts with this ghost to destroy the Ghostbusters forever, The Ghost is angry because he couldn't escape in the original explosion ( he was a ghost that they never put in the vault, because the guy of environmental protection showed up and interrupted them) so he stayed in the ghost trap until Bryan release him and Bryan is angry with Winston.

The lottery is a tax on people who are very bad at math
@gus.smedstad
@gus.smedstad Жыл бұрын
99% of the time, you’d be correct. Normally, the lottery is a tax on the mathematically illiterate. The specific game they’re talking about, though, took the top prize if no one won it, and distributed it to people matching 3 and 4 numbers. So if you gambled the week *after* there was no top prize, the odds were (for once) in your favor. Unlike most roll-over lotteries, you didn’t have to win the top prize to take advantage.
