As a huge fan of the original movie and a rockabilly/greaser culture fan, where’s the rockin music, the edge, the rebelliousness, it’s all whiny hippie folk music and is nothing like the greaser subculture and also it took place in Tulsa 1965 not 1967

broadway can’t let musicals be in its own niche anymore, it always has to appeal to the widest audience possible :( i think this musical would be great with some songs like you said but bway wants to bring in the genz demographic who likes the “whiny” music as you put it

I don't think Tulsa was that woke in the sixties, (still isn't). but I understand they have to cater to todays audience.

Theres no black people on the outsiders and none of them look like greasers that show is going to be terrible it wouldnt shock me they will make them gay
