I just watched the new episode… 11/10, peak, masterpiece, goosebumps, history. Yuji vs mahito went down in the millennial book for ages to come. Best shonen *cough seinen cough* fight in the modern era top 5 personally my opinion number 1 nothing topping this for a while unless yuji vs sukana something to witness or something from chainsawman.

Jjk, chainsaw man are peak shounen. CSM have many many peak moments in later seasons as well.

Shounen/seinen are not mutable genres. JJK is shounen because it runs in a shounen magazine, period. I also don't like that people treat seinen/shounen as proxies for serious/unserious. Why do people feel the need to say that their favorite shounens are actually seinen? There are plenty of awesome shounens. Calling something shounen is not an insult -- Nanami himself says that it's not a crime to be young.

Todou's words at the end which were "An arm is but an ornament. The act of clapping is an acclamation of the soul" is a great HxH reference to Isaac Netero's words in his fight against Meruen which were "Do you think I cannot pray with one hand? A Prayer comes from the heart". Pd: Todou was the mvp of this fight, he went to shibuya alone even knowing the risks it could entail and as soon as he saw the opportunity to help his Brother he didn't hesitate for a second, he cheered him on, sacrificed his hand and his cursed technique.

Dont know how they keep doing it but the animation in this episode was somehow even better. Like, this is the one episode lately thats had consistent good animation throughout. I really hope they get a well deserved break at the end of this season. 2 more to go!

There's something interesting about the way Mahito reacted to Yuji on demon time... Mahito is the embodiment of the worst traits of humanity, and what we fear in other humans. He is the threat of every murderer, traitor, abuser, liar, war criminal and psychopath that can ruin your life because humans can just be THAT rotten. And yet not even Sukuna made Mahito THIS afraid. Mahito saw in Yuji something beyond a mere threat of death, it was almost existential in nature. It makes me think that the promise that Yuji made turned him into the end of Mahito as a concept. Itadori Yuji became the thing that will haunt and hunt him down now and forever. It's an impossible promise because Yuji should be dead of old age by the next time Mahito is reborn in this world, but there's an unpleasant and unshakeable truth to his words. It's like... It's like Mahito's torment of Yuji created a disaster curse in human form. A curse for curses. In the snowy forest, as the wolf, Yuji embodies death. The death of all cursed spirits. Those words he spoke to Mahito, that promise IS a curse. A VERY nasty curse. The kind of thing that makes me think that Mahito's fear of Yuji will follow him far past beyond the grave and back, summoning Yuji back from the dead to hunt him down and kill him again and again and again... A cycle that will repeat forever and will never fail, thanks to the mind-shattering fear Mahito is now stuck with and that will now fuel this hypothetical ghost Yuji in the future. There is no paradise for cursed spirits anymore. Only hell. And Yuji is that hell, waiting for Mahito throughout eternity. Or, at least... That's what it seems like to me. Of course, this is all a theory based on the fact that we ARE reading a piece of fiction and having that as an ending feels... Right.

Mahito beat Mechamaru by tricking him. Mahito lost to Yuji by getting tricked by Todo. What a great way to finish that fight. All mind games in the fights of jjk gotta love that.

My guess is that Mahito is done acting on his own at least because I think Geto is going to use his power to take control of Mahito. Maybe I'm overestimating Geto though, but that was how I interpreted Geto's introduction here. Also, what happened to Mei Mei?

I’m just going to speak to existence since the next two episode are going to be info dump crazy stuff happening still just won’t be fights as I already read the manga I will say this has truly been peak, overall 11/10, masterpiece of an anime (I know I keep saying this but it’s true) mappa could butcher the next two episodes but I know mappa cooked and I believe they will continue to cook for the next two episodes and did well throughout the season shibuya has been a rollercoaster of a ride all time top 5 shonen arc might be in the same category with the cell arc. Yuji becoming one of my favorite MC idk of all time let it cook hopefully he doesn’t die at the end. Idc what anyone says yuji from manga is just cooking leave this man alone!

Fun Fact=this fight the TextBook Definition of a Extreme Diff Fight,anybody could have won this,and it was mostly due to LUCK that Yuuji won,let me explain Gege,in one volume of the manga,made a entire page talking about mahito's Transformation here,and explictly said "If Yuuji Had'nt landed his Black Flash Before Mahito transformed,he would hace Torned Yuuji to Sherds" And also Todo Helping yuuji with the Fakeout so he could land ANOTHER Black Flash And even Ignoring all of that,we had Nobara causing MASSIVE Damage to mahito's Soul So yeah,Yuuji For the first time EVER,got plot armor and thank god for that

Is not plot armor man, it is a war, like Mahito said, a 1v1 fight is not mandatory. He didn't win this fight just because he had to, there was a whole construction that made sense, Mahito was taken by surprise several times by the intelligence of Todo. Yuji didn't have a power boost or anything like that, it was just teamwork, its not about luck.

I think (not)Geto just wants to eat and enslave Mahito at this point. On a completely different note I wanted to see a power jump in Yuji since he downed all those fingers and I think this qualifies. Mahito started as the weakest of the four curse band (his first battle with Yuji) but by the end was probably getting close to Jogo and had surpassed Dagan and Hanami. Yuji couldn't have soloed Mahito in this fight but he would have stomped the mahito from their first fight.

Mahito is NOT human.... he's just the embodiment of human's worst and ugliest nature. And because curses are born from negative emotions of humans, they will always be reborn. That's why Yuji said no matter how many time Mahito gonna reborn, he will kill him.

More like he had the biggest potential. Jogo was still stronger, but then again, Mahito was much younger than the rest of them. You can see how much he improved his technique in such a short amount of time.

Its the same thing Gojo did earlier in this arc against everyone to kill all the curses in the subway. Mahito basically gambled to use his domain expansion for the same amount of time which was 0.2 seconds to try and affect Todo and Yuji before Sukuna got touched by the technique as Sukuna has stated before that he doesn’t like being touched. Thats what happened

Absolutely not. Your take is horrible. The entire world of jjk is team against one fights simply due to the power scale. A lot of special grade curses are powerful while in the jujutsu world, it's very top heavy. Only a very few can handle solo fights especially against the disaster curses ( Gojo, Yuki, Hakari, Yuta, etc., )
