Fraternity brothers at the University of Washington in Seattle, The Brothers Four began singing together in 1956 and by the 1960s they had become America's Musical Ambassadors to the World. The band still is, with two of its original members-Bob Flick, leader, upright bass player, producer, and arranger, and Mark Pearson, who plays six- and 12-string guitars and banjo. Veteran folk performers Mike McCoy and Karl Olsen complete the quartet.
What set this group apart were its consistently smooth, warm, lush harmonies.

Enjoyed the music in 1961 when I was in high school, and now in 2024, I am enjoying these incredible music again. It is a great feeling remembering the good old days when we hear the music only through the AM radio and later through the FM radio which was not common at that time.

The Brothers Four Concert was the very fist date my husband and I went to together. That was in 1964. We were married for 55 years before he passed away in 2019.

Brings back so many great memories from my college days in the early 60’s. The Kingston Trio, Peter Paul and Mary also added to the experience. Have I missed anyone else?

When THE BROTHERS FOUR visited Japan more than 60 years ago. and they held the concert at Kobe. I was so excited at that day. But I've never thought I could listen their songs on You Tube, Thank you, I 'm so happy to find them and to heir them sing again, Wonderful ! !

I still have several Brothers Four albums, all over 60 years old. Ouch. Guess that dates me. They were my first favorite group. This version does them proud.
