I really don't understand why my people are always speaking English in this kind of very important conversations for national development, I don't really understand, look how people home who don't understand English can really know what you are discussing. Sometimes is sad our local languages are not use more on our own people when you come to discussing for the national development, I once wrote messages to one of the platform few months ago, they were discussing with a very inspiring person a youth who was really speaking very very important matters for the country and he was speaking English the entire programme, I don't really understand.

I think the responsibility for "DEVELOPMENT" is too centralized in The Gambia. And this is by design. This only gives room for begging by our local elected officials. They are at the mercy of the central government to develop their local municipalities. It also breeds laziness, blame game, and a lack of creativity to push growth locally. Allow the NAMS, Mayors, Councillors, etc to work and be responsible. Let's properly chop the country into pieces these officials can handle. Let's reorganize our local government structure and the way our taxes are handled.
