For 20 years I had pain in my butt/hips that ruined my life. I couldn't sleep more than 30 mins each night before the pain would wake me up. Went on morphine 24/7 for 10 years (all doctors could offer). Finally decided to spend the rest of my life fixing my problems since doctors were useless. It took me 6 years of experimentation before I finally hit upon the idea of trying infrared light (it seemed so bogus to me). I bought a £12 Phillips IR bulb. Within the first few 30 minute sessions I could feel the pain of 20 years subside. Every other night I zap my butt/hips with the light for 30 mins. Slept 7 hours last night with no pain.

It turned out when my bulb arrived that it's normal usage is in animal husbandry.

Wow... I have had the same experience that you describe about pain and sleep issues!! You need sleep to repair & heal... but the health issues prevent the ability to be able to sleep, so it is a downward spiral!! However, I'm concerned for my liver & kidneys and also my diabetes which seems to spike even when I don't eat... but high sugar seems to spike when we are injured or sick due to the "fight or flight" reaction... causing the liver to increase blood sugar levels to deal with the "threat"... I haven't found a resolution to this and my Blood Sugar cn actually get quite high without eating anything...

I'm 43 now. I've been using Creatine since I was 15 when I started football in high school, not the whole time, and my brother never did (he's 45). We were both in multiple sports, grew up in the same house, same food, etc. - He's had multiple broken bones, I never had one. - I gained much more mass and have more "power" than he ever did, but that could also be determined by other factors; work ethic, additional diet, different person, etc. - In the last 15 years of my life I've had issues with depression, but on days when it's particularly bad and taking a walk in the sun, working out, having a sweet or any other type of thing doesn't work to lighten my mood, I've actually noticed that taking about 10-15g of creatine does in fact help me. Maybe not immediately, but the next day I feel great! I thought it was a placebo effect that worked, even though I knew about it...which doesn't sound like it makes sense because that's a contradictory statement, but it does lol. I had no idea it had neurological benefits. I just noticed when I would take it in the past I always felt like I was in a good mood but I often attributed it to working out alone, which is a good mood changer by the way. Especially running.

As an advanced lifter who suffers from high uric acid leading to gout/bursitis I need to warn others that creatine will cause an increase in uric acid and cause flare-ups in gout/bursitis. I've tried creatine at various stages since I've started lifting and it has always worsened my gout. Took me a while to reach this conclusion, but seeing as gout/bursitis is caused by the kidneys not being able to excrete enough uric acid to urine there is some small merit in the unpopular opinion that creatine has adverse effects on kidney function.

just eat a lot of red meat. Base your diet around it. Its why creatine is so effective. I went carnivore and within just over a week I was lifting heavier then I ever had been. Thats at 40 years old too. I was eating up to 200g of protein from beef per day. Some people go much higher. You can probably take creatine on top of that too, but I doubt its useful as you get so much from beef anyway. Maybe it being refined like that would increase absorption though.

I found the description of infrared therapy to be overgeneralized. Led lights don't penetrate more than a cm or so and are mostly good for skin tightening and chemical components that release from the skin. The references that the Led companies give are 95% red laser studies not Led. The references that pertain to Led lights are crappy. Lasers can penetrate 4cm and are much better for joint pain and the doses of light, measured in joules, are much higher.

Within 2 weeks I started to get a dull pain at the left high point in my chest. Coming up to 4 weeks of daily use the pain got worse. It felt like a really intense heartburn and I was actually worried it may of been the beginnings of a blood clot. I stopped taking the Creatine and with in 2 days all the pain and worries were gone. Some individual studies show great results. Meta analysis show okay results. None of the studies in the meta analysis I’ve seen had negative results. It’s one of those situations where it’s decently expensive and takes a lot of time to do. If the cost is nothing to you, then try it.

I don't think there is evidence of that. If you're prone to hair loss, how do you know was the creatine that caused it?
@SmartestDumbGuy
@SmartestDumbGuy 3 ай бұрын
@Dontbustthecrust everyone who actually takes it learns this. The largest study in history is the comments section. We dont need double blind placebo studies anymore... we have millions of people sharing results. Ive been taking creatine for 20 years. I can only take it in summer because i lose hair everytime. Started at 16 until i was balding at 24. My own mother even noticed. Now im 39 still with my hair.
@Dontbustthecrust

@@SmartestDumbGuy for every comment reporting yes to hair loss, there another reporting no. There's no way to control for things like age, sex, genes, other relevant lifestyle choices(drug use, stress management) from just youtube comments. So we need the randomized controlled data. That's how knowledge is gained. Just curious why just the summer?

No but it will increase DHT as it is extremely acidic which could lead to hair loss. Anything extremely acidic is eventually going to damage your body as it will damage the adrenals and clog the lymph system. You could counteract this by eating at least a 50% raw fruit diet but it depends how stagnant your lymphatic system is.

@@spidavenom4 Warer is not astringent, it is a solvent and unable to remove acids from the body. Only fruits like watermelon, citrus, grapes and berries are able to do this. Water is H20 and the body has to convert this to H230. the water in fruits is H23O already and it is highly electrical. The body naturally produces creatine. Maybe it's good for creatine-deficient bodies but bad if you already make the correct amount. Health experts recommend getting a test to see what vitamins or minerals you're lacking to take everything you need and nothing you don't. Lots of people play the guessing game, including me 😅

I'm too nervous to take creatine because I heard about a study (a small one like 20 human subjects) done that resulted in the majority participants having their DHT increased. Also look up the documentary "cut, poison & burn" as well as "healing cancer from the inside out" Wishing you a speedy recovery and take back your immune system NOW! 🙏
