Dr Arianna Tucci is a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Genetics at University College of London who recently published a pre-print of results of analyzing broad population screens for the presence of repeat expansion mutations including c9orf72. The findings include that the c9orf72 mutation may be present in as many as 1 in 1200 people which would be more common than previously assumed. In addition to reviewing these findings, Dr Tucci will share information on genetics generally and how that knowledge may relate to this new information.
