And I was just thinking that my feed is getting dry and I need to freshen things up. Also, this video is so helpful because it proves that everyone has different needs & wants when it comes to creating. So at the end of the day we all have to do what works for us! Love this video! As an FX3 owner, I get really inspired by it for two reasons: I started with an a6000 and was so limited; the FX3 reminds me of how much I can grow and improve. Super glad to have found you on YT!

Great insight from all the creatives! I love the Lumix S5IIX, It gave me a similar feeling to when I first touched a Fujifilm camera and used film simulations for the first time. Love the features, and can't wait for them to consider an EVA-2 cinema camera next.

Wow. It’s the ensemble of all my favorite creators rolled up into one. I never thought I’d see a video like this one. I was inspired to get the blackmagic pocket 6k for my short films and commercial work. It’s a challenging camera to use but I’m really proud of my purchase.

The FX30 has motivated me to focus more on creating videos more than photography at my current interest shooting mini docs as a one man band.

I'm currently in the process of getting a new/proper camera and have been indecisive about which brand/model to get. I've used a Nikon forever but Fuji & Sony have been on my mind this whole year (I do primarily products & portraits + some events but I've developed strong interest in/and have started practicing video/film and will be expanding in that direction). I'm still not sure if I even want to switch at all, so this video is timely and interesting. Also, now you've given me new creators to check out, so thank you so much ❤️

What a video! I'm going down the filming route soon, now, its photography. I shoot on one camera. Fuji Xpro2 on the 35 1.4. The limitations of learning one focal length, once camera forces me into a single workflow. Which eliminates getting started. What a bloody good video, choose the camera that does not get in your way and helps you deliver your creativity. Its in the doing, not specs.

I love my fx6, it makes the job easier and the image just gets me excited to create! Great Video!

Love your take on this Brittney, I couldn't agree more. I use the Sony FX cameras for work and they are great but the camera that inspires me to take chances and tell smaller, edgier stories through documentaries are my Fuji X-T3s. I have one for the occasional gimbal shot and one rigged up cine style with V-Mounts and all of the toys. No IBIS, barely usable AF (just bought a set of X-Mount Cine Primes), can only shoot 30 minute clips, lots of other limitations, but the image and colors coming off of that X-Trans 4 sensor are something special and that gets me excited about shooting. I totally get where you and the other creators are coming from on this. Good stuff.

Great video, great people! My favorite camera is the FujiFilm X100V. I bought it since it came out and I just go everywhere with it. I have also Pocket 4k and Sony A7RII, Contax film cameras, etc... but my to go camera is X100V.

The best image I’ve ever gotten from a camera was the Blackmagic 6k. I moved to Canon but I do miss that crazy look I got from my BM.

That was beautiful. I can’t ever leave my apt without my Panasonic S5. The original one. I think I feel the same way you feel about your blackmagic. Everything I shoot with it just looks beautiful, and it inspires me to document all the time, (which annoys anybody around me all the time, but you know how that is). :-) whether for personal use or professional use, my s5 really makes me want to make art. Thanks so much for a really dope video.

For me it was for real the c200. It was the first real cinema camera for me. I got a sigma 18-35mm and I was unstoppable. When I used the 24-70 sigma lens I was blown away! I loved it and when I shot football with it the package of the 70-200 plus the camera was not that heavy. I could run all game without an easy rig and I loved it. The c70 was a great upgrade for me and I liked it. But, as a solo operator I am liking my fx6 but thinking about switching to the OG Komodo.

Totally with you in terms of that Blackmagic image. I bought a P4K only a few months back and I absolutely love shooting on it. It's not the easiest cam as it needs rigging but that image quality makes me wanna shoot all the time on it. I also bought the S5iix & it's a camera I have with all the time. It's that perfect travel / run & gun cam & the image is also great. Both these camera's are pretty cheap in comparison with others but certainly don't lack in quality.

The Olympus Em1 mark iii was the one camera I've been compelled to at least have in a bag with me everywhere I go, but the m 4/3 world doesn't get much love lol. The GFX is also my baby 👌🏾.

I find the camera I love, the camera that inspires me changes based on my setting. In all real-world situations I need only the following: the camera turns on and functions. That's it. I could care less about brand, specs etc. I paid off my house with an original A7S (mark 1) over a period of 7 years. I'd always get made fun of by others on set but I knew what they didn't. All that matters is the story. And the story doesn't give a rats a$$ about your specs, how cool your mattebox is, or whatever. I legit think 99% of creatives are brainwashed by ads and influencers. My Sony does this, my Blackmagic does that. Guess what? It's all in your head. Rock the FX3 for the next decade. Don't buy another new camera. Focus on your ability to tell a story. Your career will go to the moon while everyone else will have spend tens of thousands on cameras that they then chuck away as soon as a new product is announced. Life is about giving, not about having. Stories give. Gear takes. The best part of this video was the choice you made to get other KZfaqrs to share their feelings. They all shot on different cameras. Nobody cared. It was their words that mattered. It was your idea to bring them together into this video that mattered.

This video is great and there is definitely a lot of valid points. Honestly though I think the title is SEO brilliance that will garnish a lot of comment to discuss what is "a creative camera". I can say that if we're being honest its not the gear holding a person back most of the time its the person. I have seen KZfaqrs like Danny Gervitz make spec ads and cinematic videos that go above and beyond what ive seen some folks do with a Komodo x or a sony Venice and he did this all with an FX3. Hell to claim the camera isn't creative spits at the idea that the FX3 was the primary camera used to shoot a huge budget film starring John David Washington, the Creator. To Greg Fraser who was the DP, that camera was the answer to his creativity as the form factor ( which they still had made a rig for it) and dual native iso allowed them to make something they couldn't do with a Venice or an Arri as easily. It really depends on where you are at with your film making journey. At the end of the day these are all tools, Ive used Black Magics and god knows I would never make that my primary system but thats a whole other story. However if it was the only camera given to me id have to be hella creative to get shots I would want, but I do prefer that my gear is out of the way so I can focus on other things like lighting, costumes and other things involved in production. Anyway this was a video of all stars and you got a subscriber due to a provocative ass title however with legit conversational content in the whole video lol. Keep on killing them and I love seeing more black creatives in the film making space on KZfaq. Its inspiring. P.s. If you made this title about a Nikon camera though that fan base would be on like white on rice... that group doesn't play 😐

When it comes to getting a camera that has all the specs I would need for a lot of the work I do, I've been heavily thinking about getting an FX3 or Sony A7IV but personally the camera that makes me want to go out and create is my BMPCC4k. It makes such a beautiful image and when I know I can sit and plan my shots and lighting setups for the day, I love using this camera. Whenever I do event recaps I use my Sony A7III but mostly because it's good for event video but I'm kind've falling in love with the Fujifilm image so I may swing at the XH2S.

I totally agreed. I just recently rented this camera to test for an upcoming wedding. When I say, "I was not impressed," I was not impressed! Just a hassle to accomplished what I wanted. I am so glad I gave it a test before this upcoming wedding.

This is a great question! I personally am inspired by my SIGMA fp. I have a ton of cameras, but nothing inspires me more than the fp. I've had it in my arsenal for around 4 years and it is still my go to camera!

At the moment the camera that inspires me is my Chinon Pacific Super 8 that I dug up again after nearly forty years. It is crazy easy to use and such a rich, organic look. Expensive to buy and process film, true...

I have been trying to break out of the mindset of focusing on the equipment and focusing on improving my skill. For this reason, I have been inspired more by the point and shoot cameras.

i shoot with a canon t3i HACKED lumix g7 gh3 an gh2 an im happy with what i can get out of these camera you dont need the top of the line or the most updated cameras to get the look you need when you know what your doing everything will come out amazing

Literally on my way to buy the fx3 , had to hit a u turn. More KZfaq reviews now. For me the ease process is necessary, im a run and gun shooter and would love the workflow smooth and not so tech. I’m re evaluating my choice
