First of all, those sides look too low to do much good keeping out any kind of wind. Secondly, winds often come in from all kinds of directions, even from above, and from the front, so no use trying keep a flame lit if that's the case. The only real protection is the high back. But what's the point if flame is going out from every other direction wind is coming from? Realistically, when camping, a person wants to eat without having to wait till the weather permits it. Best to find a five sided metal box wide and high enough to fit a small butane stove and position the open part away from oncoming winds. That's what I do. Works every time.
