This is true my greenfinches go mad when I go with the hat in the Birdroom but not so much the canaries so I try not to forget to take it off These birds usually are very tame Because I put them near my face and stay very calm super calm.

Great video Matt, Dave is a fountain of knowledge! Your videos inspired me as a beginner Gloster breeder myself to start my own channel, they are one of the best breed of canaries there is and they deserve a channel dedicated to them. Hope you will be able to go see Nick&Annalain Barrett's stud soon!

@@TheCanaryRoom Thank you, very much, I already started posting some videos on this channel but the video quality and the production is not up to where I want it to be, yet... There's quite the learning curve, but I am willing to work and get better and post more videos. I really appreciate your support in giving my channel a plug it will be the help I need and if you were to do it after Nick&Annalain's visit it would make a great segue because I got all my birds from them and they are helping me in my journey as a novice breeder, so they deserve credit for inspiring me in doing this just as much as you did. And by that time my videos quality will sure improve, mind you I am not a native speaker of English so my accent might be a bit rought around the edges, but again striving to improve my English as well!

the All Variety Canary Show in Peterborough was a canary only show not a national.......it was founded by M.Plumb rvm R.Fox (rip) S.Fox & A.Williamson and is sadly missed

Amazing bird room, and builds cages for a living, hobby and business. Never heard of tongues doing that. A chap I'd love to meet. Really looking forward to season 4 and the British, jealous head will be on.

Enjoyed this one , if I wasn’t a norwich man then it would be Gloucesters ,meet one of the top Gloucester men he was a nice bloke ,and Dave seems the same didn’t seem to hold back on anything was asked ,always something to learn in this game I do use grog but never heard that explanation for going light ,lovely bird room and cages I made some out of plastic it wasn’t as solid as that plastic anybody know what it is

Can you please make a video about how can we keep our siberian goldfinches (carduelis major) healthy? Since they tend to have a lot of health issues, anywhere else except in Siberia

Thank you Matt for this and every show you have done this year. I've been waiting for this particular show as I received a pair of Glosters and wanted to hear from Dave Rands for his wisdom and knowledge on breeding the Gloster. The one part I could not make out from Mr. Rands was his dry food mix, what are the ingredients and if Mr. Rand has an email address for me to write to him would be great. What kind of lighting do you use for your birds? And do you keep them in the bird room year round or do you have them outside for a part of the year to get natural sunlight. I’m very curious as to if this helps or even makes a difference. Thank you for any information you can provide.
