What if cannabis was not the catalyst to so many American epidemics, but rather the catalyst to finding the solution? Blair Brown tells the story of how cannabis became so vilified, and what potential opportunities we might unlock by seeing it in a new light. Blair Brown is an alchemist and energy guide using ritual as a practice to host and facilitate a greater connection to inner strength and personal values. Rooted in the land, with a modern approach to our vital energy, she identifies the light in the dark: guiding to find a place of truth and deepened personal support. Known for her alchemist craft of talismanic jewelry and plant medicines, she offers these items as tools to assist in ritual.
Employing Sadhana philosophy with Alpha and Theta energy, as well as Ayurveda and cannabis medicine, Blair uses these experiences to explore and broaden opportunities. Blair will hold the space in ceremonies and on stage as a speaker, often speaking on land stewardship, true conservation and catalytic relationships. She is also the founder of Blair Lauren Brown fine jewelry & Verte Essentials wellness products. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

People who disrespect the weed need weeding out, it's part of our heritage, and we have actually evolved the endocannabinoid system to metabolise it. It's a human right to use cannabis recreationally.

But did you know that plants don’t even create Endocannabinoids? Plants create Phytocannabinoids that mimic our self-made endocannabinoids. Anandamide and 2-AG are the two most common self-made endocannabinoids. we did not evolve to consume cannabis 😂 Cannabis helped human evolution, but not to the extent most potheads think. Time to get of the S-trains 🙏🏼

We've been using cannabis since forever, there was recently a mummy found in China that had 2 pounds of well preserved, potent cannabis in a bag buried with it. This was about 8000 years old I believe. Lots of good info here, keep up the fight! One day we will come to fully appreciate and use this plant properly. And hopefully this awakening will make us savvy to the complexities of biology and human psychology/neurology, as has been happening and will continue to advance exponentially soon. A wonderful example being the recent discovery that cannabinoids allow neurons to fire "backwards" (which was previously thought impossible for over a century of neurological/biological/medical research), having many implications in how our brain functions including memories and emotions work

Correction *** The slide of suggesting the hemp use in the Ebers Papyrus was supposed to be a picture of - Seshat - The Egyptian goddess of wisdom and writing (see many spellings of her name) She is often associated with cannabis as she has 7 pointed symbol depicted above her head in hieroglyphics. The Sumerian slide should have the following facts: 3000 BC Clay Tablets referencing "potential" cannabis use. This bit of information was omitted because there is much disagreement among historians about the actual plant used medicinally as well as for cloth and rope. That said it was depicted from past use - prior to their recording of such uses. *** Good catch 'doc to help' Thank you!
