Agreed. And I hang my head in shame that Thunder has never been truly recognized in the US. But, I suppose the Brits are happy with that. Can't say I blame you.

Laughing on Judgement Day is a criminally underated rock album. Not a bad song on it, just great riffs, songwriting and vocals from start to finish.

As an American I never understood why this band failed to make any mark in the US. Now I know why. Same old story, a record company exec who is too smart for the room screwing up careers. Nice interview, nice guy, awesome band.

Awesome video, LOVE Thunder ! Fly On The Wall (off Behind Closed Doors) has been my cellphone ringtone for the last 15 years or so...big fan. And Danny Bowes...what an amazing voice ! They both look like super nice, down to earth guys. And that acoustic version of She's So Fine was great (especially with the mishap on vocals and the laughter afterwards). And yeah, massively underrated and overlooked band, with great players and even better songs.

Great interview, thanks! Here in 2021, Thunder are releasing their new album next week and it sounds really good and very fresh. I met Luke once after a show and he chats to everyone just like this, what a nice bloke.

I only just discovered Backstreet Symphony very recently through a ‘Best Rock albums of the 90s’ article and it’s a worthy inclusion. Really enjoyed this vid. What a thoroughly nice chap and great to hear about a success story in this vein. Bravo!

Don’t know how I missed this at the time....another great Anderton’s watch and what a way to finish👍🏻 I remember seeing Thunder back in the day at Hammersmith Odeon ....they certainly can still knock out a tune 😁😁

I saw Terraplane back in 85, supporting Meatloaf at the Newcastle City Hall. It was the tour when Meatloaf had the big motorcycle set, so Terraplane ended up with just six feet of stage in front of the curtain! They were great though. Saw Thunder in 2004 supporting Deep Purple at the Birmingham NEC, much more polished show. Good to see them still at it!

In the realm of under-appreciated guitarists, Luke Morley is under-appreciated. He is, quite simply, one of the best. What he plays and the way he plays... that's rock and roll.

DDub 64 you obviously weren’t a rock fan at the end of the 80s :). Thunder were gonna be the next big British thing, they had a smash hit debut album in the Uk Backstreet Symphony) opened Monsters Of Rock, had songs on the radio & MTV, they were the future...then as he says, grunge happened....

Oh man they are one of the BEST 80's Rock and Roll band you've moved heard of. If you like just good old Rock. Then check them out. They really are good. " Love walked in " is one of my fav songs!!! Hope I didn't waste your time.😳😇
