Save the old rotters! Have a mooch, it's mainly e36 stuff 🙂

Nice little walk around, I think the interior swap works well with the wrap and it would even look good against the blue.
@HardlyExoticАй бұрын
Thanks mate. Yeh maybe one day it'll go back blue 🙂

It's a great looking E36 Touring. I really like the interior; the contrast is smart. I've got an M3 Evo and absolutely love it.

Thanks buddy! What colour and body is your evo?

Ah very nice. Sounds like a pretty serious build! Do you track it much?
@CovkillerАй бұрын
Only the Nurburgring once or twice a year. I like to think of it as a sports car, really not a track car, but very capable on the track.

Yes true mate only thing with me i have abit of ocd so like everything to be right with them 🙈🤣 Does look good still for a wrap but i bet the colour underneaths not bad either Oh the other day finally stuck my new sticker m colours on my m3 badge which brought few months back to then realised i brought it off you 🤣🤣

what a great video steve lovely car and shows how well they are made from the mileage and with these its not as much the mileage its more the tlc for me and hows the wrap holding up after 4 years? add love to own a e36 touring but they getting so rare now and trying to find a tidy one is getting hard to come by as my saloons not most practical but you still cant beat e36s stands out from cars of today now but looking forward to more videos on this and the rest of your fleet

Thanks as ever mate. They definitely do need a lot of love, but it really depends how fussy you are, can spend hours making them look mint if you really want to! The wrap is okay, I wraoped to to a good standard and took a lot of time with it, but really since then I've abused it and not really cared for it so it's showing its age lol

I miss my yellow touring :(

I thought you might regret selling it mate. They are so good with a bit of fettling, maybe sometime you Could buy it back?

@@HardlyExotic I would rather start project all over with what I learned. Just hard to get a nice non-rusted touring nowadays.

Nice touring! Thanks for the video. I have a 99 528iT, was wondering what you thought about intake manifolds versus stock m52tub28 it has now. M50 or m54b30 with adapter for stock wired throttle body? Any benefits to going ms43 ecu with new gas pedal and TB? Thanks!
@HardlyExoticАй бұрын
Thanks! That's not a mod I've ever done, but I've seen a few people do it. The b28TUB has good punchy power across the rev range unlike the single vanos which is lack lustre above 5k. (my E38 daily Is a B28TUB). I think you'd have to give it a go! If you need a manifold I have some if you're in the UK 🙂
@sorekukАй бұрын
M52TU with disa is much better than M50 manifold - if you need to upgrade get M54B30 manifold + intake cam from B30 instead :)
@aer2357Ай бұрын
You thought of installing itbs to the m52?
@HardlyExoticАй бұрын
Yes possibly! It's something I'd like to do when funds allow 🙂
@WaffleCZEАй бұрын
Does that crankcase ventilation delete good for anything?
@HardlyExoticАй бұрын
Well it means the engine isn't breathing air which has oil vapour so I guess. No real gains just a simpler install when doing an m50 inlet
@christopherfarley4504Ай бұрын
Do you use an oil cooler to keep temps down on track?
@HardlyExoticАй бұрын
Currently no. For 3 or 4 years I ran 10w40 and would only do 5/6 hard laps, now I run 10w60 and still just keep to 6/7 hard laps, and always do a full cool down lap. An oil cooler would definitely be useful and a future mod, also considering an s54 oil pump

Think we all do mate. But time and funds often mean most of us need to finish it and make it usable, as opposed to perfect! It's holding up okay, tired in a few places but will last a couple more years yet. The avus underneath is a cool colour but very tired. Oh blimey that's mad 👌😎
