From a first round pick that didn't pan out early to a star in Buffalo and Philly, Briere had a memorable career in the NHL.

Briere and Drury were magic together especially in the playoffs. It was a great time to be a Sabres fan. It killed the team culture when they could not resign them both. I think that Regier wanted to sign Drury only due to ownership financial limits. Drury wanted to play for the Rangers and they lost both of them. In hindsight both Drury and Briere never lived up to their final contracts. Both bought out but good careers regardless. Thanks for the video. Great job.

As a Buffalo fan, you just felt like Danny and Drury were going to lead us to success for the next ten years. And then the Sabres didn’t even make these guys offers when they said they’d be willing to take a ‘hometown’ discount for Buffalo. And then all of a sudden Drury is a Ranger, Danny is a Flyer, and we’re still a mess. Letting the core walk snd firing Lindy wrecked the franchise. But man what a magical time the mid-2000s were in Buffalo.
