Absolutely 100%, way ahead of her time! To be as considerate to not want to offend any group of people, inclusive of gay folks , witches, and their coven is just so forward thinking for the early 90s, it makes me love her even more. I could sense that she got a little uncomfortable when Katie Couric mentioned that they were gonna have to bleep out something she said.

I don’t think she was ahead of the time. All this annoying modern wokeness started in the 90s. It halted a bit in the early 2000s because of 9/11. Then accelerated again after Obama got elected. She’s still a typical culture vulture

***VIXEN *** your whole comment is a bit of a joke, sorry. One moment you’re providing a definition therefore insinuating a truth e.g. “it’s called Wicca” and then in the next statement you’re saying “they’re a joke”. So what is it?? Is it factual or is it not. And the word Witch and Wiccan are entirely interchangeable and both words in whichever context one chooses to use it, is correct. It’s completely systematic of the user.

Meanwhile, Kathy's issue with real-life witches -- and the fact that she spoke to GLORIA STEINEM about it -- is just plain bizarre. I mean, this was friggin "Hocus Pocus." She was taking it a little too seriously. All in all, her segment was reaaaally awkward to watch.

I mean anyone who knows me knows that this movie has always been my favorite childhood movie. If I’m not mistaken my mother took my brothers and I to go watch it in theaters.
