if you watch him on ABCs tv show by Disney, Once Upon A Time, he plays Rumplestiltskin, an illusion to the Beast from BATB, the Crocodile from Peter Pan's Neverland and is the son of the Enchantress, Black Fairy, Fiona and Peter Pan aka Malcolm. He plays the1 main anti-hero/villain on the show for 6seasons only until the s6finale when he finally got his happy ending w his second wife, who is Belle and his second son, Gideon since his first wife&son, Milah&Nealfire are dead. But, through Neal, he also is the paternal grandfather of the Evil Queen's adoptive son. So, I was actually happy w this closure for Bobby's character, he'll be back in Season7, just Rumbelle fans won't be seeing them anymore. That's the only disappointing factor abt Bobby playing Rumple, whether you love to hate him in the beginning, during the last 6seasons, in the end in s6finale, he finally became the hero TheBeast became once his curse of not having anyone to love him, when he knew all along Belle and their son Gideon was his happy beginning. I'm actually glad Bobby's coming back, but the timeskip of everything is going to be so confusing since his character is also a great-grandfather now, since his late-firstborn son's son, who is his grandson is now a father too. OMFG Bobby's characters grandson's family tree just keeps growing every season, it's like a curse. bc i feel his grandson's mother had another child, it's only obvious since Bobby's characters old rival is married to his son's exes who's grandson's his mother, lol yknw bc Bobby's character on OUAT who's grandson is the stepson of CaptainHook, who is his grandfather's old rival, lol ok now im done. if you think Bobby's calm here and reasonable, then you haven't watched him on OUAT. it's exhausting, but it was a show all about his characters grandson's mother, now in season7, the show will be about Bobby's characters grandson and his great-granddaughter, since Bobby's character is still the oldest reigning character alive, unless you're counting the fairies like TigerLily, Tink and Blue :)

I'm a huge Irvine Welsh fan and I've read all his books. Before I watched the film I was disappointed to learn that the plot wasn't exactly the same as Porno but after I watched the film I was left in awe of the script. It worked brilliantly and now that I have seen the film I have to admit that Danny Boyle was right when he said that the film wouldn't have worked had it have been the same as the plot in Porno. It's always difficult to make a sequel to a film and there was so much expectation with this one but it delivered because it was a great film and in many ways it was as good as the first one. Massive credit to all those involved with the film and particularly to John Hodge for writing a script that created a great film.

I'm an American Boomer, child of the 60's and the culture of that time, I didn't grow up in Edinburgh (never been), never took heroin, but i have never been as invested in two films as I have been for T1 & T2. Way back when I had to watch Trainspotting several times to get the accents down, very much assisted by closed captioning when it was finally on the box, but I was totally absorbed. And then to watch the actors grow and appear in other favorite films over the next 20 years, akin to visits from old friends. And then T2; a sequel! Another gem! The warm excitement of the homecoming and nostalgia, the revelations, and Spud's stories, oozed me into a self-reflection on my maturity. Choose life, Gary.

Bro when I saw the beginning of the trailer when sick boy says “SO…. What you been up to? FOR TWENTY YEARS” I’m pretty sure I shouted out loud I was so hyped. I was like YES THE REUNION!!! The boys !!! I knew it was coming just didn’t expect it to me so dramatic, but knowing Irvine welsh and his genius I should’ve expected something spectacular

Robert is just fantastic. To be such a kind, soft spoken, gentle actor in real life, and portray the most unstable and unpredictably violent man on screen like it's absolutely nothing.

I cried when I went to see this at the cinema. It was part of my fabric when I was 19/early 20s. Choose Facebook, choose any other media platform ( 🤢) to espouse benighted bollocks.. The film captures perfectly the disaffectedness that has weighed down these men for the past 20 years. Thank you, Mr Welsh (reading Acid House as we speak) and thank you Mr Boyle. ❤️

finally got around to seeing this movie and I feel ashamed I didn't go see it and support it when it first came out. Movie was phenomenal. I'm still feeling a glow from it days later. I'm playing the soundtrack constantly and extremely loud levels to the annoyance of my neighbors. Don't let the naysayers dissuade you. If you liked the first one you'll love the 2nd one. Kudos and well done to all those involved in this film. There are people who appreciate and love what you've done.

" they felt recognised" Yes, we did. 15 years clean as of last month. I loved Trainspotting not only for the brilliant bit of film it was but yes, because in a way ( although obviously stylised for film) we DID feel recognised. Not that most of us gave a shit about some movie at the time ( most of the time lol).. more important things to get done for the day eh? The second film actually drew a tear or three from me. It was almost like being on that journey through their memories and so on too with mine. For both films, for the books.. for the stage productions Ive never seen but would like to.. thank you to all involved.

I agree. These two movies are more than just movies. They speak for that generation, which happens to be my generation, but they also speak to all generations. The dialogue is brilliant. Such amazing actors! Such amazing writing and directing! In my opinion, nothing will ever come close to the way these films spoke to the audience. The "choose life" dialogue is second to none. Thank you to all of you for creating these timeless masterpieces.

Epic film, loved it as much as the original. Funniest bits for me were when Renton & Sick Boy went to rob everybody in the Orange club, plus Begbie getting a hardon when he was going to stab Renton. Simply brilliant.
