The church has lost its moral authority. Our kids are looking at the hierarchy and their transgressions, wondering what on earth is going on here…😢.

I think the parents wishes are being overruled by the education system and peer pressure.

Too many parents rely on CCD to teach the faith and fail to do it at home. I think that was the case with three of my cousins in the same family...none of them practice AFAIK...none married a Catholic either.

@@femaleKCRoyalsFan I understand your situation, I sent my son to a Catholic school where he learned that the world is billions of years old and evolution is how man was created. Now I can only pray that some day he returns to his childhood faith.

True. Parents are responsible that their kids make it to church. Once Confirmed, the kids become adults ecclesiastically, and become responsible themselves.

@@CatholicTraditional it depends on what age you are confirmed. in my diocese, It’s in fifth grade. in my sister’s archdiocese, it’s eighth grade and other places it’s high school which I think is way too late. Personally, I think it should universally be third grade.

Believe me or not, in my observation, parents or schools who are strictly Catholic, once children get out of that home /school into the secular world, they come out like horses out of the coral. The hierarchy should work harder to give /show a good example to young people. They should work harder in evangelizing. Most often times their failure to evangelize effectively, they blame the parents, society, the culture and delegate the work to lay people who are also busy making a living in order to survive.

There is only one church, different practices but one church I am for example greek catholic from slovakia, we have byzantine rite liturgies, but we are one with all other catholics

@@TomasTomi30 My comment only referred to the N.O. I'm not exceeding any of the Traditional, authentic rites. I attended the Maronite Rite myself for a few years until we finally got a TLM.

@@pl8154 Yes but you wrote that TLM is true catholic church, which is false. There is one catholic church, TLM is for sure beautiful but N.O. is equaly valid and not a separate church.

@@TomasTomi30unfortunately the changes made to create the n.o. rite were heavily influenced by protestants, hence the Cranmer table instead of the pre Vatican 2 High altar and easily stolen hosts for nefarious purposes through communion in the hand.

I came across a channel the Catholic family channel. I’m trying to remain calm but they had a priest on there tell us wthwt a retrobate trump is and several other things and talking poorly about arch bishop vigano?!?! Have you heard of this channel? I was surprised and shocked to hear from a priest this way and I blocked this channel..
